Fresh from the S4 system dump.
You can now enjoy the new 4.3 Camera + Gallery from the S4 Google Edition (I9505G)
Tested and works on all roms running jb and up

Flashable .zip. Install via a custom recovery

it works on stock rom, but you need to use a custom recovery to flash anything. do a quick search on "how to flash custom recovery on s2" and it will be very beneficial to you ;)

    Attached is my re-signed apk that allows you to install as a user app. Some people (myself included) run CM10.1 and update regularly. Using this apk you won't lose it with a system update. You may want to disable the existing gallery before installing this. This apk is also zipaligned.

    EDIT: It looks like you don't need to disable the existing gallery2. When this apk is installed it shows as an installed update to the existing gallery. When you go to gallery under "manage apps" you can click "uninstall update" to remove the apk and go back to the gallery2 that comes with cm10.1.

    I found a fix for gallery3d crashing when trying to edit a photo. What you need to do is install the apk as a user app and NOT a system app. You can get the apk from extracting the zip in the original post. When you try to install it you'll get an error saying "Application not installed". This error is appearing because of an issue with the apk signature. The apk was modified by another user to fix the scene modes and that changed the signature. What you need to do is install the app zipsigner from the play store. Sign the extracted apk (the one from the CWM flashable zip) and install the new signed apk. Make sure you select test keys in zipsigner app (I think it's selected by default).

    After installing the newly signed zip I had a problem where my picassa albums weren't showing up. I fixed this by deleting the app data for gallery and rebooting the phone. Now everything is working perfect.
