Could someone upload or post link to the soft keys apk. I've deleted something or changed build prop or something and have lost my soft keys. I've got LMT launcher working and gravity box pie available but would like to have the soft keys just in case one of the pies fails. Thanks.

wase4711 had the same issue and he couldn't figure it how to get them back. He was within his 14 day window and was lucky to get his swapped out. Maybe ask him what all he tried. I don't even think a factory reset brought them back. Maybe the LG tool?

I dont see that file either, so it might not be what the problem is.
When it happened to me, I was within my 14 days, so I didn't bother trying to restore, I just exchanged it.

I tried everything, including a factory reset, and nothing helped.

At this point, I think I would use the lg flash tool, and restore to stock with the T-mobile .kdz file, unless you happened to have a buildprop backup

Another reason why I'm sticking with stock. I know this would happen to me and I don't need that headache. lol

Thanks for looking guys. I still haven't gotten my stock soft keys back but I found and xposed module that creates, themes, and mods soft keys specifically so I installed it and I actually like it better due to the auto hide and the themes for the soft keys.

Its a mod for xposed installer called "UDN PRO"
Ultimate Dynamic Navdar Pro I think I got it on the play store though. It works great. No issue with starting after boot or anything. No issues so far.

Thanks for that! Can you post screenies with your newly modded nav buttons?

I wish I would have known about this before returning my first flex when the buttons disappeared!
now that you can make the navbar go away, have you tried installing Themer? I doesnt work on the flex, because of the native navbar, but I wonder if it would work now with this mod enabled..

Is there a module on Xposed to hide the stock trigger? I immediately got UDN pro just for the customization aspect, and love it, but I can't find a way to get rid of the ugly stock trigger, unless I go the "dangerous route" as the app calls it lol..

I don't know for sure. I was deleting bloat or what I thought was bloat and must have accidently deleted the touch keys app or something. That's what caused me to search and find that apk and it is an exposed mod or at least listed on my exposed module list.

Understood and duly noted! Now if we can just find out what exactly it was that you deleted, that would be great! :p

That's been my whole reason for the thread. Cuz at first I was trying to get them back. But now I'm not so sure I want them back.

it looks like with that app, you dont need them back...

Guys, I finally found something that seems to work! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys with root permission of course! With an in-app purchase of 3 bucks, IIRC, you get the pro version, which allows more customization.. And you can hide the stock soft keys completely, even while in system settings :D

I know you don't need it anymore but the softkeys are automatically generated by the system (build.prop) at every restart. Maybe if you add this qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to the end of build.prop and reboot they should get back.
