So, I will be the first to ask....
You have changed/ updated this over 18 times, and not a single reply about anything..
OK, let me be the first, I have seen NO pro apk, at Playstore. However, you do have some upgrade to Premium, paid apk...So...
What is in this Premium apk?
(Should be more just, adds removed, I hope!!!!)

Do have to say, it does not seem to do much on the Formatting my SD card. Now I have a Galaxy S5 which now see's my SD card as corrupt!!!

I have tried through your apk, on my Galaxy S5, Stock 6.0.1, rooted phone, to try this Adoptable Storage. Which did seem to worked... just for a second. then the System flagged it as corrupt. So powered down, to try test this SD card, on the PC. Everything tested out fine on the SP 120gb SD card. Plus, all the data was still there.....
NOW, I did wipe the card. (Have back ups) I did format it the old Fat32! Put it back into the phone and power back up. Now, the system tells me there is an error on the card. I let IT , format the SD card. ... Bamm.. just seconds later, the system flags it Corrupt!!!

In short I have not been able to fix this problem. I have tried so many different things, all of which tell me the SD card is fine. It WAS Prior to using your apk. Not really happy, however, I have not seen any sort of fix yet. System was fine and working for a few weeks before trying out how to use half the card as Adoptable and still have the other partitions

Will shortly, be try a brand new SD Card. i will report back. However, I will not be trying to do any such Adoptable storage .... Rather have the darn card working the way it was... at least I was able to use the phone to it full specs...

The app was posted recently on XDA. Good to see your first response! The app has in-app purchase to disable the ads and has no support for extra features (yet). All features are available (ad-based) in the standard version. Updates have been posted regularly with new features or bug fixes.

It is strange that Adoptable Storage did not complete on your card. We tested it on a large batch of phones including several Galaxy S5. Basically, in case it does not work, you format the disk through settings/PC or via the revert button within the app, restart phone, start over with adoptable function. Note that in case of existing multiple (hidden) partions on the SD card, that there might be errors. Perhaps the type of SD-card could be the reason.

We would love to see the feature working on your phone, too. Quite some users have reported positively on the Play Store.

Thank you for reviewing Root Essentials!

It may be that you need to mount your SD card under TWRP. Then you can find it under /sdcard.
Here is what happened, I made a Nandroid backup before fiddling with the app... Then I made my 120gb 100% internal. All was working fine til I did something wrong and messed my Rom up. So I cleared data, system, cache and dalvik... But when I went to go install my backup everything was moved by the app somewhere and yes everything is mounted properly in twrp. Like I said, i find them in android with no problem but not inside recovery, it's moved ????

If you can find the path to your nandroid backup in Android, then check very well whether this is on your internal, external / sd. Then make sure that in TWRP the storage is mounted correctly and that you check the right path.

After the swap, twrp backs up files to internal /data/media/0, I had to search for these but these are my new backups and my old ones are somewhere else while in twrp

I am running an HTC desire 626s, systemless root, busybox, xposed... I used the change DPI setting on this app only to receive an error and now a boot loop... I do not have a back up that I want to use and would rather system reset but I really do not want to do that either. I can access File Manager in TWRP.... Would I be able to navigate to the applications path and delete it to restore my phone to its regular DPI?

Did you change the DPI using the 'Shell Command' or 'Build.prop' method? Clearing data of Root Essentials will not make any difference.

Can you access your phone with ADB when it is stuck in the bootloop? If so, execute these commands with ADB:
adb shell wm density reset
adb reboot

If this doesn't work, check for a file in '/data/property/persist.sys.lcd_density' (without quotation marks) and delete it, then reboot. Your device should fallback to the default DPI. (In build.prop). You can do this using the terminal within TWRP, with these commands (after you mounted the /data partition):
rm /data/property/persist.sys.lcd_density
reboot

If both did not work, you probably have to factory reset your phone. You could try to reflash the stock firmware before resetting.

Just letting you know... when running the Root Checker, the app stopped responding and then the app itself restarts (Screenshot Image Attached)

I have beta3 installed and my phone is a d2vzw with the latest CM13 (Android 6.0).

Thank you!

Thanks for the bug-report on the Beta release. We are looking into it. We suspect it has to do with the flip animations of the cards loading directly after root check has completed. Do you have this every time / after a restart?

Root Essentials was removed from Google Play Store due to violation of accessibility features. We are looking into alternatives. Root Essentials is still available on XDA Labs.

    @SuperThomasLab

Is this app discontinued at all?

I just wanted to know because you used to update it every so often and it's been a long time now.

    Thank you.

Sent using The ClaRetoX Forum App on my SCH-I535 device.
Very good question and not easy to answer. Yes, I have plans to update Root Essentials, but...
    1. I am deeply involved in development of another app Hue Essentials (smartlights app).
    2. School cost me way too much time in the past year (Latin and Greek is getting more difficult if you skip too many lessons).
    3. When I wrote Root Essentials, I was only just able to do the first tricks on the phone and had hardly any deep knowledge of programming. I took up Hue Essentials to get me more into Java/Kotlin, etc and learnt a lot more. Now I feel that I would need to rewrite Root Essentials completely as I see my own errors.
    4. Many people do not use Root anymore. Android Pay troubles, Samsung Knox, etc. Is it still useful?
    5. Much functionality would require a new approach on newly targeted phones/Android version.

Most important thing is simply time. So, no deadline yet.

    Positive FeedBack on S5 G900F

so i tried the Latest 2.3.3 Root Essentials.
at first i did not understand why the "STORAGE" Tab on my phone gave me all kind of numbers. (i also b!tched about internal storage all over the web).
so Root Essentials is WORKING Awesome!
just Install, Go to Adopt Storage (i took 64GB and made them 50%, thats so i could hook it to pc and have the ability to work. if it will be 100% adopted, you wont see it on your PC)
so, after adopting, i set the phone and removed/installed all my UN/Favorite Apps.
aftre that (and that is the important thing: Go to MIGRATE DATA, Choose the 50% SD (that is adopted as internal), and from that SD Settings Tab Coose MIGRATE DATA.
    Thats It!!!!!!!
    WAW... Awesome App!
    Thank you.
    p.s.
i tried Root essentials for maybe 10 times before i got it right. i noticed that the plugin is doing nothing in my case.
    thank you.

    [EDIT]:
i did not quite on Root Essentials and investigated some more. happy to say i found a solution for S5 G900F, Android arshmallow 6.0.1.
    this is what i did:
    1. Root The Device
    2. Install Root Essentials
*note*: there is a plugin file that we need to flush using RootEssentilas, but we will be asked to do so only after : Adopting, and the Revertring. (on reverting we'll be asked to flush the plugin). So....
    3. Adopt the Sd. (Adopt the whole 100%)
    4. you will be asked to Reboot, so do so
    5. after rebbot, go to "Adopt SD" tab again, AND NOW "REVERT" the Process.
    * Now you will be Given Ifo To Download the Plugin and Flush it USING ROOT ESSENTIALS FLASHER TAB!
(you would be also asked to Backup System and such, I DID IT maybe 10 Times But NEVER BACKED UP ANYTHING! so IMO, you can skip the backup).
    6. Download the PlugIn
    7. In RootEssentilas goto "TOOLS" tab and then the "FLASHER" tab, Click "Flash Zip File" and then choose the Downloaded File to flush it.!
    8. After Flashing the Plugin Restart your Device
    9. NOW ADOPT the SD _ (i have 64gb, I choose 50% so ill be able to connect my phone to Pc and Still Get the other 50% to move Files from Pc to Phone)
***IMPORTANR*** _ YOUR PC WILL NEVER LOAD THE ADOPTED SD!!!! (so if you did 100% from 64GB you will see Only the Real Phisical Phone Storage, on S5 its either 16GB or 32GB)
    SO Choose 50% !
    10. After Adopting the SD, goto "STORAGE" tab on RootEssentilas , And then goto "APP INSTALL LOCATION" and Choose INSTALL ON SD!! (SAVE)
    11. Now install all your games and favorite apps (regullary!)
    *****************************************
    Now come the important Step
    ******************************************
    12. in RootEssentilas goto "ADOPTABLE STORAGE" tab and then goto "MIGRATE DATA" tab. Click on Migrate Data,
    Now pay Atention:
CHOOSE THE SD CARD That Was ADOPTED!!! _ (if you did 50%, the you will have 2 Sd Crads, one as Portable, And second wil be Writen As Oly "SD Card" Which is the Adopted AS Internal, So choose IT)!
after choosing the Adopted SD, Look On the Upper Right For the Three Dots of the Settings, clikc them for Settings and choose "MIGRATE DATA".
Let the Device to its trick, it will move anything it can.
you will see that your Orginal Internal Storage has more free space then Before the Migrate, And that the ADoptabe Storage Is getting Filled!.

    thats it my Friends.

    Hope This Help Someone.
if ill Do it again, Ill Make sure to Video it.
Specials Thanks for those Hard Core, Digging Friends that gave the the motivation to keep on.
    thnka you.

Thanks for testing! It could be two things:
    1. The plugin is not compatible with your device (did you see errors during the script? Do you see "rebooting in 7 seconds..."?);
    2. The detection on the second round is not good and Adoptable Storage works (only you can tell me).
So here's an update of what happened last night as I was tinkering. I ended up unmonting the 32gb I had and reset the phone. I put a 16gb I had and BOOM! The set up option to format to internal popped up. So all in all it did work I just didn't know to unmount and remount. All is well now just the size of the space available and used that's showing is not correct and navigating through the it is a pain haha. Thanks a lot for your app!
