try this

Dear sir i was able to achieve s-off with your tool, but after reflashing my ruu file to get back to stock bootloader was locked, so i had to relock it in order to root my phone. The problem is when i reach the bootloader option to unlock the bootloader on my phone i choose yes then press the power button i got stuck on the same screen until i choose no my phone reboots and it is unlocked.
That did not hapen when i rooted my device while it was s-on.
did the wire thing do something wrong to my device hardware?

you have to be s-on to unlock your hboot otherwise it will stuck.if you want to root your device.download JuopunutBear hboot reflash it with adb commands....

Would just like to point out that just because the hboot says Locked doesnt mean its locked, you will still be S-OFF. the hboot available on unlimited.io has been hex hacked (I think though it may also have been reverse engineered) to say Juoputbear instead of locked.

Hi everyone. I tried to get this for my HTC Sensation (Unlocked - Hboot:1.27.0 )

*****BUT*****

Now, when I start my device, device display only "JuopunutBear" with green arrow and never continue to OS and I can't use my phone.

I think I have a pretty ****t up situation in here. I tried everything but the writing on the screen is never gone. Can anybody help me? specially someone who knows what they are doing?

BEAUTIFUL! it took me a couple of hours, but it worked!! Thank you to everyone that built this!

i had recently received a replacement phone after my screen cracked. i decided to use ControlBear to avoid having to HTC Unlock my phone. this was my experience. hopefully it helps someone else, as i had some trouble finding references to the problem i ran into with my phone (listed in "STEP 2").

NOTE: I am a Linux user..

[ STEP 1: Temp-rooting your phone ]
I had problems finding detailed instructions for doing this. After endlessly searching, I found that there are two ways to do this.

Option 1.) Use some pre-built scripts to temp-root the phone. After much searching, I found them at the link below. You can save these scripts to automate the temp-root process, or you can do it manually (see option "2" below). FYI, when I tried to use these, I had to cat the scripts, and paste them into a new file using VIM. I guess there were some hidden chars in there messing with the linking?? Something to watch for...

Link: http://xdaforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1085197&d=1338011091

Option 2.) Manually temp-root your phone using steps 1-5 on Unlimited.IO. Steps 1-5 will "temp-root" your phone. Steps 8-10 will undo the "temp-root".

Link: http://unlimited.io/jb_pyramidlocked.htm

[ STEP 2: Run ControlBear ]
Download the appropriate version of ControlBear here: http://unlimited.io/jb_pyramidlocked.htm
- Unpack
- Run (it's pretty straight-forward)

NOTE: You have to tap the wire twice for the wire trick to work!! (yeah, i just scanned the instructions first time..)
NOTE: Make sure you use a good SDcard! The problem I ran into is that my phone was powering down when i was doing the wire trick. Apparently this has something to do with the SDcard? I even tried reformatting it to FAT32 and it still didn't work--had to use a new card entirely!

Output from "power down" problem for searching...
==========================
Do not remove sdcard from phone
Do wire-trick now!! Check the instructions at http://unlimited.io
=== Waiting device....

Hmmm, still no device
Resetting connection....1........2....

After I swapped out the SDcard for a newer one, ControlBear worked for me after 3 tries. ;D

[ STEP 3: Reboot ]
After running ControlBear, your phone will sit at the bootloader(?) screen. Just scroll down to the reboot option and reboot...

[ STEP 4: Undo the temp-root you did on your phone earlier ]
Run steps 8-10 from the Unlimited.IO site.

Hope this helps somebody.

    Instructions and Downloads:

    Support:

Support for our tools is via IRC channel #unlimited on freenode ONLY. If you do not have an IRC client you can use this link.

We DO NOT provide support, instructions, or downloads via XDA. Please see our website: http://unlimited.io

Using how-to guides, "kits" and using other instructions on XDA to S-OFF your device is not recommended and will not be supported by Team Unlimited. If you want the best experience and results - go direct to the source. Dealing with support issues through the forums is inefficient and posts may get lost in long support threads, of which we would have too many to actively monitor. We have therefore decided that all support should be through our IRC channel. This will allow us to help you in real-time and through the whole process.

**You may not redistribute nor link directly to any of our tools without the expressed consent of Team Unlimited. We DO NOT authorize any dev use of our tools within other kits or tools.**

People, FFS, 90% of the questions you ask are ALREADY answered in this thread. I've read 12 pages in less than 5 minutes, and i don't even need it as i'm s-off. Can't you? You are just about to do something which can (and will if you **** it up) potentially brick your device.

Read 12 pages. Only 12 pages!!!!! After you read them and don't find an answer, then ask. And even then, pop in to HELP THREAD (check my sig) first, see if people there can help you. Keep the development thread clean for more important things than asking why hboot says LOCKED.

If you carry on I will pester mods to get a BIG broom out and clean this thread as much as needed.

    Thank you.

thanks for answering dude! But do i need to use the HTCDev first? Before i use this wire metod?

Yes you need to be HTC Dev unlocked first before you can use this method of S-off. Globatron really needs to come back and edit the OP some with some more info on this S-off method. I mean as anyone like myself that has fully read this thread or the info on the Unlimited.io website pretty much should be aware of all the requirements and so forth. But by me reading this thread and knowing XDA, not all are going to do as I and others have and read everything but just jump in and then cry for help when it goes bad.
