I'm glad everything is working as it should be, Xperia P and U users are reporting issues, I'm happy here no one is complaining
For those who are having mounting issues, try a different port, different cable, remove device drivers from your pc then re-install them, that should fix the issue
As for kernel version, this is how linux kernel tree works:
3.0
| \ 3.0.1 - 3.0.2 - 3.0.3... 3.0.8 (the one Sony uses) -3.0.9 - 3.0.10 .... 3.0.71 (the one I'm using)
|
3.1
| \3.1.1-3.1.2 ....
|
3.2
The main line of the kernel is 3.x, every version that has a "y" (i.e. 3.x.y) the "y" refers to fixes from new versions backported. While I was applying those updates some of the patches had code that is included for patches in the 3.4 kernel, so the one Sony is using is old, but when the phone was out that was the newest version, I don't know why companies don't update their kernel's when a software update is released.
and I can't update the kernel to 3.8 because it needs a lot of code to be included and needs the manufacture to write it, they know best about the hardware they are selling
