EDIT : SOLVED by changing the SU app to a different one :)
Help from everyone appreciated

I am trying to S Off my device, but I am getting an error. SEE SCREENSHOT.
I think after entering SU command, its not entering the Root mode i suppose.

Maybe permissions? Did you accept superuser access on the device?

Else I don't know, at best I could only check once I get home to see what it's like for me on my terminal. Hopefully someone can help you before that though, I'll only be home in like 6 - 7 hours

have you rooted the device before this?
SU installed and working?
bootloader unlocked?

Seems like your not rooted.

Yes sir,
I have unlocked bootloader, Superuser installed and i checked with root checker, i have root access as well.
I rooted it with superuserSU from chainsDD.

Are you trying to use the temproot method? That only work for the Verizon M8 so you'll have to unlock via HTCDev to S-OFF (and then you can lock it again so HTC won't know)

Doesn't work either. You have to unlock the bootloader, flash the custom recovery and then root it. You can then go through the S-OFF guide

I unlocked bootloader by htc dev. Then flashed TWRP.
Actually, after booting into TWRP, i flashed the SuperSU.zip..... So isnt it ok as per the guide? And then i tried S Off.... But got this error.

Ah right! OK, then it should work unless you've not corrected allowed SU access on the phone when it asks

Thats good.. But you know you are an expert, so give me a solution please :D

I can't, it all worked fine for me so I've not had to do it since. All I can say is follow the guide on the firewater site to the letter...

Taken from http://firewater-soff.com/instructions/

Ensure device is booted to android with usb debugging enabled.
USB 2.0 ports are preferred.
You should not be connected using any hubs which may cause connectivity issues
Ensure that lock screen security is disabled on your device.
no passcode lock
no pattern lock
no face lock
Download firewater HERE
Push, Prepare, and Execute firewater:

adb reboot <–important!!!!
adb wait-for-device push firewater /data/local/tmp
adb shell
su
chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/firewater
/data/local/tmp/firewater

Agree to the terms and conditions you are prompted with
Allow the exploit to do its work.
Profit

But isn't it already in root mode?

adb shell should give you a prompt with a $ I think, root gives a #

but after entering the command "SU", the prompt should be "Root@htc_m8@" , but i am getting "shell@htc_m8"
I compared it with a screenshot on a discussion forum.

hm, wish I could check myself. Unfortunately I'm at work now and won't be able to check it out, I just went with the # prompt.
