Loving the update.I tried the neak kernel and I prefer siyah over it.
I feel like its smoother and much more snappy

Sent from my Samsung S2 running AOKP

probably just the result of a tired developer... I think we'll see an ACTUAL fix for CM9 tomorrow. Till then, I personally would avoid this build if you're running CM9 especially.

Yeah, I'd call it 'the fix that came too late'. This would have been great a few weeks/months ago, or as a fix in-case CM9 stayed with the previous scheme though.

I'm running tasks AOKP 4/21 build.

I had to revert back to rc5, I found that both 3.1 and 3.1.1 are causing app data to write to Android/data on my emmc mount, which I keep OCD clean with only pictures, music, and Titanium Backup. Apps like TuneIn Radio, Pocket Manga and others are creating directories there as well, where they used to put them on /mnt/sdcard.

Just making my observations. I cleaned each time with Jivy's script before trying each kernel, and reset Extweaks info from CWM.

Thanks for all of your hard work.

SAME PROBLEM I HAD - Goto Settings>storage hit the menu button and then storage configuration

whatever the box is, make it the opposite, then reboot. See if that fixes it. If it's still the same, go back, check it again... then reboot again. Should fix it.

Something about the Siyah Kernel update and CM9/AOSP based roms are making that box not show the correct value... and I believe ticking it on and off with reboots after each fixes it. Cheers.

That's with 3.1.1, correct? I was fooling around with the storage settings too. I'll give it another shot with a couple of reboots.

Yup. I got it working with 3.1.1 by playing with that tick box and rebooting after each "tick"...

try it once, see if it fixes it, if it doesn't tick it again and reboot again.

Make sure you delete the erroneous files created by your apps... :)

I tried 3.1.1 again, and it just doesn't want to behave. No matter which way I had the storage settings ticked it kept reporting 11G of music on my internal when it really is on my external emmc. I've been blowing out the erroneous files each time between boots also. I'll just wait it out.

Thanks

When dialog fails, it's time for violence.

which rom are you running?

on CM9 - emmc is INTERNAL / sdcard is EXTERNAL

If you AREN'T running CM9, revert to 3.1 or RC5/6. I think 3.1.1 is causing issues because of this "fix" for CM9...

Sho should be WITH mic swap, but as the OP says it wont hurt your phone if you do the wrong one. Try WITH mic swap first, if people cant here your, that means you need the other one. The lockscreen thing would be ROM specific, not the kernel.

OP Updated, should fix the CM9 issue and 3.0.29 linux merged

Download v3.1.2 - CWM Flashable
WITH mic swap (use this one if you are using a ROM directly from the I9100 forum, AOKP or CM9)
http://www.mediafire.com/?cqcnb7fpsmn1rxn
WITHOUT mic swap (use this one if you are using a ROM from OUR I777 forum like UCPLCx or anything based on these)
http://www.mediafire.com/?wave55bqb84ywg2

Does this take care of the SD card swap(ie phone not recognizing internal SD)?

    Dual-Boot instructions and Notes
If you want to have another ROM as secondary ROM, follow these steps:
1.Make a nandroid backup of your existing ROM
2.wipe everything and install the other ROM
3.Boot the ROM and make customizations. Don’t forget to reflash SiyahKernel if the ROM flashes another kernel.
4.Use CWM Touch Recovery to clone your rom as secondary rom.
    5.Restore nandroid backup
6.To boot from the secondary ROM, either press the HOME key or the VOLUME DOWN key when prompted.

    Some notes about dualbooting:
■If you do not make any cloning you won’t be prompted to boot the second ROM.
■you may need to reflash this kernel after a nandroid restore if your nandroid backup is created with another kernel.
■you won’t be able to use mass storage mode for /sdcard in second rom because we have our data and cache partitions on /sdcard. only external sdcard will be mounted if you are using mass_storage mode. mtp should work fine for sdcard.
■once again, you won’t be able to flash any CWM flashable zip to second ROM.
