What does the kernel do exactly? Makes camera work, at least without previews?

I have downloaded so many things through stock ics browser.. i can see them in "Downloads" that is there in app drawer..
But when i open ES File Explorer, and try to find the files, i cannot find then. (Even there is a folder "download" but there also the files aren't there)..

And some help me by telling where i can find them..

they must be somewhere on the sd card try searching for the name of the file and then when you find it click orperties and see in wich folder is in.
Btw the lastest version is much stable and faster, live wallpapers work, games preformance is nice..the gpu drivers are making a differnce. Also we got update to 4.0.4 from 4.0.3 so THANK you developers :]

I tried searching from the file name also... nothing found...

battery life

i have to agree that the battery life is much worse than a few updates ago, im underclocking to 246-480 on conservative and i still went down from 100 to 40 percent in 6 hours, given i was playing music half that time its still a notable change from the kang. also i agree with the general public, people not only need to stop spamming, but also others need to stop spamming by telling everyone else not to spam. anyways thanks for the hard work fellas, looking forward to future updates.

could be that because we don't have kernel support?? or it is hard-coded in libcamera drivers?

It's problem with kernel what is not support new adreno drivers correctly but I'll try to hack libcamera sources with link on the new 3.0 kernel..maybe it'll be way to force camera work

Yeah I was thinking same thing. Hacking kernel will do the trick. You can also try to hack old kernel that will be much easier and it should work.

I read in a lot of threads people say new Qualcomm drivers are the cause of camera not working correctly, but there are also a few dev's who say it is not because these drivers.
Also some phones use non-patched kernels and have camera fully working, they patched camera libs and framework. So I guess that is what we also need concentrate on.

I have bug with time, see screen

On widget true time, but in the sidebar time is stop.
And some artefacts on name icon in right part of screen
