Hello, I just noticed yesterday that weird bug - - if I shut down my phone the battery will be empty when I power up the next time, and my phone will take more than an hour of charging to start again. First time I notice that behavior.

It happened first time two days ago, I had about 5 % battery left so powered down. Phone did not wake until charged for an hour or so. Then I tried again last night, this time with a 40 % battery. Did the same, no start this morning until lots of time on charger.

Is it my battery's phone that would be faulty, or is it a strange bug in the software? I read that thread since day one, I don't remember reading about that ' Sleep of Death' variation.. - - I'm on V. 03, on telus ( koodo), everything is working fine besides that ( oh I do have to re-enter the wifi passwords each time but I'm fine with it)

Any infos will be appreciated

Download not working...

Hi all,
I've been trying to download the latest Canadian version since the weekend with no luck. Continue to get an "unknown network error". The download starts off just fine, but then peters out after about 30 MB. Tried it on 4 different devices (3 computers plus my phone) and 3 different networks (work, home, and Starbucks) with no luck.

Can anyone post a link/mirror that works? I did PM Houstonn (kudos to him BTW - excellent job on getting us a working ROM) about the issue, but he must be a little busy, as I didn't get a reply (yet).

Cheers

*** UPDATE ***
The link is working now, was able to DL it this morning, Feb 27/13.

Thanks Houstonn!

I'm game. Going to play with this a bit seeing my LS970 is a paperweight to me at this point.

It won't totally be the same thing. The code for application is currently compiled and made for x86 cpu. Phone cpu is an arm cpu which doesnt use the same set of instruction. I definitively want to see more from that project, but from the point it is right now, there is no reason to want to try it at any price.

Unless you had a specific application in mind, I disagree. There are only a handful of Ubuntu popular applications that do not have ARM builds.

WiFi fix was addressed a long time ago. You have to update your build.prop, instructions floating somewhere in the thread.

What wifi fix? Because I'm having wifi issued as well on the two JB ROMs I've tried. I tried setting it to 2.4 ghz only and I've tried setting it to static. Nothing works.

Let me clarify what I mean when when I say wifi issues.

Basically I'm connected and have good strength. But it doesn't want to work half the time. People have told me setting it to 2.4 ghz only helps. Also setting wifi to static. Neither has helped me.

This never happened on the ICS ROMs I've tried. Just JB. Luckily I have unlimited data so it isn't a big issue but it's still annoying. I know there is nothing wrong with my WiFi. I did a clean install evert time. I didn't restore data either

I had the same issue on v1 with WiFi. Drove me f***ing nuts! I upgraded to the newest Canadian build and its been muuuuch better. Only happens maybe once every 3 days or so. My interval scan setting is set to auto. Maybe if you haven't updated, try a newer build.

I dunno, I stayed on v1 for the longest time because I thought the WiFi issue was my router. Because I only have issues with my home wifi, but at work it was flawless, so I stayed on v1 because it was working perfectly otherwise. Then I decided to update on a whim, and since its improved a lot. Bit I still seem to have the odd hiccup from time to time. And again, only with my home router. Its strange.

Did anyone figure out if disabling fastdormancy was really beneficial to battery life?

Of course in areas that do not support it, disabling fast dormancy is better, but what about otherwise?

I live in an area that is suppose to have fast dormancy. Through some overnight testing, I found that while leaving lte on, disabling fast dormancy led to very slightly more deep sleep.

However... I'm not done testing, but this seems to be the trend:
1. If you leave your lte on throughout the day, and do not toggle it off/on for only when you need it -> Leaving fast dormancy ENABLED, will lead to better battery life.
2. if you do not leave your lte on throughout the day, but toggle it on/off when you need it -> DISABLING fast dormancy, will lead to better battery life.

This all makes sense considering that fast dormancy attempts to put the phone into a dormant state when idle, so if you just turn data off yourself, then it doesn't need to delay deep sleep to check idle.

Can anyone link me to a download or mirror of rogers stock" D" firmware? I've looked everywhere and every link I have found is either dead, or downloads the.incorrect file. The 836MB file from the stock firmware thread only downloads 136kb and then says its complete, and the file ends up being corrupt. I'm trying to downgrade this S.O.G and can't find the older firmware. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Anybody have the "Android is upgrading..." box on EVERY boot?

I know it's building the dalvik cache, but what's erasing it?

from searching XDA, it's deoxded apps, Titanium backup, or init.d.
I don't have any deoxded apps, init.d, and I've cleaned out titanium backup.
It's not a big problem, but it's kinda annoying.

I guess I can assume that when I was making the roms and it always stuck for me was cause I already had mine all setup properly for all the phones I was flashing..

I'll make flashable zips for you guys. I need the build.prop from an ATT the someone has changed and worked..
I'll do the same for Rogers and Telus

and for SaskTel, someone can send me their build prop.. I am very busy working on aosp we have a bunch of merges and hopefully having fixed a bunch of things.

It has been time comsuming trying to please every variant. SnowLeopard is gonna work on things here on for ATT to maybe finalized everything for you guys since I don't own an att.. I've been building these roms blind and been trying as much as I can so you all can enjoy what LG should be giving us already. Please be patient and just report fixes and certain bugs.. just please search and don't double post bugs we already know as I hate cluttering up this thread..

As for Sprint.. I know I didn't post in your fourms.. I just didn't want to take any attention away from whatever is going on over there. I don't frequent sprint and att forums. Please let me know of all your findings of bugs so I can further provide you with a better release. It's hard working blind.

There's been a few requests for the LG Backup App so I took it from the International version and made a CWM zip.
Fair warning - this is the first time I did anything like this so feel free to backup before applying it, but its just a file copy and I installed it without problem on my OG running the debloated version.... or you can just take the .apk and .odex files out of the zip and manually copy them to the /system/app folder and reboot.

I also extracted the apks for Polaris Office, the super awesome Quick Translator, and the dictionary for the translator (i think?), which were also requested at some point.
