FAQ & issues

Flashlight and Chop Chop gesture doesn't work
Just reboot your phone, it should work fine after a reboot.

I have some trouble with SIM detection or VoLTE
Be sure to flash the N Firmware & modem before flashing this ROM (with full wipe)

Opening stock gallery trigger a soft reboot
I can't share photos in some apps like What's App

Remove the directory /sdcard/android/data/com.android.gallery3d and every directory related to gallery
Remove the directory /sdcard/DCIM/.thumbnails
Reboot Your phone.
If it's not enough, maybe you will have to wipe/format your internal storage

I have some issues with video recording
Everything should work fine, especially with stock Camera (Snap)
Be sure to be on the N firmware.

I can't access my external SD card in CM File Exmplorer
Use another app for now until CM Team fixes it. (Motorola Explorer, Solid Explorer, ES File Explorer should do the trick)
BTW, no issue with SD Card formatted and encrypted as Internal Storage.

Is it really necessary to install it from N firmware? Which issues may I get if I install it from stock 6.0.1? I flashed CM14.1 over stock and it worked fine (except from the fact that I can't set up more than one fingerprint - which I don't care).

As you want, the main thing is that I will not support issues related to Firmware.
If you want to try it over M firmware and if that's OK for you, then fine. ????

Working on XT1644 US Variant!! Even works with Republic Wireless (though I had to activate services using my dial pad).

A tip for people coming from Stock or CM M: if you download Flashfire, you can flash the requisite IMG files from the OTA N update file to your phone. From there, you can flash this ROM via TWRP.

Greeting from across the Hudson! I haven't downgraded back to MM so I can't be certain. You can follow this guide, if anything: http://xdaforums.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/xt-1643-downgrade-nougat-to-marshmallow-t3487847

For what it's worth: I think if you have flashfire, you can just extra the needed IMG files and then flash them through its 2nd order OS. It kind of runs in place of TWRP but it doesn't overwrite it.

I'm guessing hopefully I can unzip the Moto retail file and the img's will be there
