Haven't experienced any problems since I switched to stock MT4G radio. So I'm guessing the radio was the culprit. I had tried reminder and all 4 variants of faux 107. anyway... Thanks for all the help y'all

wow

apparently what they say about android is true. now one pays for apps. of all the problems I see people talking about. I have not seen anyone bring up the issue that I am having. unlike most android users. I've paid a lot of money 6 some times 7 dollars for games. mostly gameloft games. and they do not work with cynogen for some reason. actually half the roms I used either allow me to play my games or dont. the last rom I used that let me play my games without forcing close was pyramid 3.0 virtutous 3.0 and honeysense 6 rom. what are devs doing in these roms that allow my games to work. and what are other devs doing that keeps them from working. does anyone know?

Genius Button

It will not work no matter what I do, tried different versions and such. Just force closes. Kinda would like it but not a deal breaker. There is a free app in the market called Voice Actions that interfaces with Voice Search and does pretty good job of making call or sending text, etc. Thus it the work around I recommend if you want voice controls. I also believe Vlingo is popular and free if you wanna give that try too. Thanks.

Battery Percentage and Life Suck. DO NOT USE!

My battery life would be good if it reported the percentage correctly. As of Build 221 , I cannot get it display right unless I wipe stats in recovery mode. Any ideas how to fix this of if rom needs any kind of updates applied like a different kernel perhaps?

======================

Updated to Stock Gingerbread(Rooted)-see below signature. Cyanogenmod is lighter and faster but eats battery too quickly. This needs to be fixed and addressed before I will ever use the ROM on my device again. You have been warned, do not bother using cyangenmod unless you are prepared to have very poor battery life!

Is that so?

I have noticed that under "normal usage" (sporadic phone calls, some BT or Wifi here and there, not much websurfing and definitely no playing games), battery life is pretty decent and can last up to 20 hours or so.

... However, it looks like 3G data, Wifi, and bright screen are quite a big energy munchers, so if one plays with the phone too often, screen and phone almost all the time awake, Wifi on etc. then it can drain after 10 hours or so. That's what I'd call "heavy usage". GPS also eats some energy too when it is active (just switching it ON without actually using it by an active app doesn't consume much, BTW).

I often see people posting graphs of tremendous battery life but upon inspection you can see that the phone was almost asleep most of the time. Yeah, on airplane mode and screen off I can also get 3 days- but what's the point?

Yeah, I saw that last night. It showed as 0 downloads in clockworkmod, so I think I was the first. :)

I installed it this morning. Haven't noticed too much of a change. The colors for the battery icon and network have changed. Also the email icon. What else?

I just can't get enough of a good signal on wifi with cm 7.2 rc 3.
I also tried tdj v12 kernel with no luck.
Think I'm going back to affinity.

I have been reading the CyanogenMOD 7 Nightlies thread and thought I would go thru and make a list of the FAQ's that people ask.

Got the idea from Phateless and his Post #863

If anyone has any others to add, let me know and I will add them.

Thanks to the following (and many others) for all your help answering questions (If I've Missed Anyone, Sorry):

Phone going in to recovery when trying to charge with power off? (Post 287-288)

No worries, everyone has this issue. At best guess, i'd think it to be a recovery issue, since I don't recall
having that issue previous to CWM 3.xx recoveries. I've been waiting for a fix so I can re-calibrate my battery
too. It's not bad enough that I'd downgrade to CM6 to do so, but I like to do it every couple of weeks.

This is a known bug on the phone/recovery, it isnt rom related. It has been happening since root was had on the
mt4g. Just plug in b4 you power off and it will work fine.

Because the default setting doesn't have a User-Agent selected. MMS messages received are blurry as a result. I

--messages, settings, custom user agent, click CUSTOM again, it will prepopulate mms2.0. Hit ok.

    Market Problems? (Post 778)

Clear data under applications settings. Then reboot and try again. If that doesn't work try a factory reset.

    or Post (1639)

Because that would clear your google account. Instead of clearing data, clear cache, uninstall updates to the
market app and reboot. When you reopen market all of your downloaded apps (and hopefully your backed up ones too!)
    should show in market.

WiFi Calling and MMS Problems (Post 4956)

Fixed my issues with Wifi-Calling MMS.

I talked to TMobile and they gave me the correct info for the APN settings.
I deleted both of the APNs listed under wireless settings and created a new one.
Just in case any of you are having issues with SMS or MMS using Wifi-Calling.. give this a shot.

    Create a new APN.

    Name: T-Mobile
    APN: epc.tmobile.com
    Proxy: 216.155.165.050
    Port: 8080
    Username: leave blank
    Password: leave blank
    Server: leave blank
    MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050
    MMS Port: 8080
    MCC: 310
    MNC: 260
    Authentication Type: leave blank
APN: default, supl, mms (Very important to not have a space in there.. just the ,)

hit the menu button and hit save. then use that apn. You should now have working MMS and SMS.

All done and it is working great so far.

    Guys,
Am I the only one noticing that there were no nightlies/weeklies since 10/07, or am I missing something where it's been discussed?
If older phones get given up on or if the builder isn't functional – how come there are still regular builds for the DHD and even freaking Hero?

For fun I used this helpful guide by matada and did a compile of CM7 I'm using it right now and don't have a problem don't forget to flash gapps with it.

    Dropbox link.

I've got a build from today for anyone that would like it. It is just plain CM7 no tweaks/mods.
