2. Gapps - Latest 4.2.2 Gapps

Instructions

* Reboot into recovery
--- This step is for beginners, who is already on Xylon, you just have to dirty flash, no need for a clean flash. --
* Go to Wipe, select "Factory Reset"
* press Install.
* Select "xylon_devicename_000_xx-xx-2013.zip", "gapps-jb-2013xxxx-signed.zip" and your other packages..
* Then, swipe to install.
* Once all the processes is done, reboot.
* Wait for a couple of minutes, go n make cup of coffee for yourself.
* BAM! It's done! Enjoy the smoothness! :cyclops:

Lol the reason I dont want to just jump in and build it from source with out some interiest is because Xylon builds with Linaro and O3 optimizations. Linaro make the build take a lot longer, and I dont build Xylon on my Build PC(Not enough room on SSD with Dirty AOKP and Dirty RootBox), I build it on my laptop with an i3 and HHD, no SSD.

Thanks mlaws for your effort to port the best roms in the Fórum. In this case, Xylon group issue an update dated on Feb. 17, 2013. I guess your ported rom is based on the Feb. 14 issue.

Friends..read the original thread and also the posts refer the Kernel you installed. Siyah and AJ still are correct some issues in theirs Works.

**Edit.. I was gonna download it now, cause I'm flash happy, but it seems like I'll really have to wait till later. Instead of starting the download after the 10 sec timeout, goo just keeps restarting the timer continuously. Maybe they're doing server updates or something.

I'll try it out... Been having lots of freeze-ups after installing even though I did a full excessive wipe. Hopefully updating the kernel should solve this.

As Nick said, it's now AJK and it's been bumped up to 1.5:)

Just letting you know that AJK 1.5 has a bug that prevents deep sleep. Please use AJK v1.6 instead.

Best 4.2.2 I have used yet. It took me a few attempts to flash but I'm sticking with it until something better. (Maybe nothing will)
I'm using the newest version of the AJ kernel. (1.6)

Great rom, thanks! I think I do miss is be able to long press a quick toggle to open up its setting.

Good Rom. However, when I installed, had a problem with my SD. It's not appear. Reboot and reboot and nothing. Its situation force no Camera due to its appear a message No have enough space to store a picture.... Damm...!!! Also, installed with AJK 1.1. I returned to Sho3 until I read the ROM could be stable and official versión that permit mlaws port the same.

    But with some problems. Wifi wasn't working, but I posted a fix and another member posted a flashable fix. Bluetooth isn't working apparently, but I'm not really that familiar with the system files for BT since I never use it. Probably best to wait until the dev posts an update.

    Hello there. I'm new to the S2. I just got it on Thursday. When it arrived, it was on Gingerbread 2.3.4! Long story short, I came straight up from GB to this rom (after rooting etc, of course) and have not experienced any problems with my SD card or my camera, If you are posting here to receive some help, why don't you state how you flashed (dirty flash? full wipe?) and how you restored apps, settings etc (TiBu?) so someone might help you. I'd suggest doing a full wipe and testing the rom before you install any apps...

    To the dev: fantastic rom! I flashed AJK 1.6 and aside from a few kernel issues that I see have been addressed in subsequent updates, it's been smooth sailing. Looking forward to the updates!
