I would lose all respect for Sprint if this is true. I might go as far as leaving. I want the one that was reveiled. Etched in? What a joke. Haha

Its what the One S is to the One X. This is that to the SGS3. I doubt its the only variant that Sprint will release. There probably will be one just like the international S3.

yeah... I hate to be a hater, but that display resolution couldn't fly with a smartphone 4 years ago, nevermind samsung's new flagship.

Um, 480x800 WVGA "flew" with the SGS2 one year ago, flying high enough to be named smart phone of the year for 2011 and 2012.

This seems to be a great phone, but I think calling it S3 is kind of misleading.

What kind of phone were YOU using 4 years ago that a ""4.3" display with a 800×480 (WVGA)" wouldn't fly?

2008 was before the first android phone even came out too.

Lets take a stroll down memory lane...
These were amongst the top of the line phones around may/june 2008

oh and ah yes...the 2nd generation Iphone the Iphone 3g...

I mean the high resolution flyers of the time were be considered some of the best camera phones on the market (and might still be somewhat competitive today, because of the larger sensors and lens) and it wasn't a smart phone...but Sharp did make some awesome phones

I wanted these phones but they didn't support GSM850...which was required at the time for good reception with Rogers Canada

So other than the last two phones the 'smartphones' in 2008 pretty much had low res screens toping out at VGA.
