[MOD] TAKE PICTURE with VOLUME KEY (ONE KEY SHOOT & FAST CAPTURE) 67FW 02/10/13

Hello,

Sony the Xperia Z is the best of SONY...but they are mess something, an hardware camera key

So i decide to enable the volume key to take picture and also "FastCapture MODE" when holding in stanby mode :highfive:

to ZOOM IN/OUT you use the "pinch to zoom" functionnality

out of the camera app the volume key work like before

INSTALLATION:

1) Just flash one of the MOD with CWM RECOVERY...then reboot

2) Don't forgot to enable the FAST CAPTURE in camera app settings

DOWNLOAD:

I decided to separate my "MOD" in two independent zip ...

you can choose to use one ... either ... or both :highfive:

If you want the FastCapture look just above for the " MOD for Standby FastCapture"

V2: enable Standby FastCapture with Volume DOWN key :good:

V3: ONE KEY to shoot by volume down key

V4: one key capture with volume Down key...on flastcapture and other mode

V5: update to JB 4.2

V6: test version... ONLY for HONAMI ROM

V7: Update to 244 FIRMWARE

NEXT CHANGE
POWER Key to shoot...don't know if i can do it

HOW TO

1) décompile your "android.policy.jar"

2) open the "PhoneWindowManager.smali"

3) go to the method "interceptKeyBeforeQueueing"

4) go to the end of the method and change the line

0x18 -> :sswitch_c7

to

0x18 -> :sswitch_2c5

5) save and recompile your "android.policy.jar"

EDIT: Hmm. For some reason every time I mount system as r/w the phone reboots. I had to be in there to make Google Wallet work, and that never happened then.

So that worked. I was using the ROM in the development section that is stock, deodexed, and zipaligned. Guess I should inform that dev of my issue. Anyway, now my camera disappeared. I even had the foresight to append the original file with .bak, except I did that to the wrong file. Any chance you have an unmodified version I can put back?

EDIT: I figured out my problem, it was all my fault. Works great now! It's a little weird to press both volume buttons at once, but still a great way to take pictures underwater.

I'm not sure what you mean.

EDIT: I think you mean Unlocked Bootloader. My bootloader is still locked, if that's what you were asking. There was no flashing involved with getting CWM or this mod installed. I didn't flash Google Wallet either, it was a fairly manual install. I *did* flash the ROM I'm using, this one. I also flashed the DoCoMo status bar, the smaller nav bar and related camera fix, and a zip provided by a forum member to make the status and navigation bars transparent. Flashing the ROM caused me to have to root again and to rename the /data/usf directory in order to get NFC working again.

Let me know if none of this answered your question.

Actually no problem and no BUG with my MOD

It's first release...I'm working to enable "fast capture" and "one key shoot" for futur release

They are other things I want to enable like burst mode

U cant use any touchscreen underwater ..i dont know what you mean by using pie if you cant use touchscreen...
Anyway afaik you can capture photos underwater
By this mod or any same mode
By setting self timer to the camera before you go under water

I am sorry because I don't answer clearly. My phone used to have this problem, I think the reasons of this problem may be the ROM DEODEX that you are using or CWM you installed.Because I have installed CWM on this way :http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2187363 and then I have tried a lot of method (using ROM STOCK, COOK) but when I mount system as r/o in ROOT EXPLORER or use backup and restore in TITANIUM BACKUP. the phone reboots and then I factory reset phone and ROOT again and do not install CWM for looked bootloader, and then my phone use with no problem.You could try if it can help you.
