Once we talked about, now it seems to become real. I am really happy to know you are here. Very nice to see people come together here again. And you are probably right, this will lead to some "XDA extra hours", but as I (will) own this device, anyhow I am very interested in this thread. Good that we are back :highfive: :laugh:

Hey, another guy I am really glad to see in here. I hope to keep it up and of course this will be one of the most important devices and therefore forums of XDA. However, even I will have to shift down the update cycle of the older device indexes I maintain, I'll keep them alive. I love the Galaxy Nexus, maybe I'll won't sell it. The S3 LTE is a company phone - no love involved, it will be sold in maybe around a year.

No. There is no official release date. Maybe after Google makes an announcement, then we have to check Play Store again. But anyway thanks for pointing to it.

Hey, wait a second... did you "upgrade" in your the Nexus 4 time? You are a RC now, but were you RC on Galaxy Nexus? :confused:


To those who give this thread a bad rating: Just do not rate as this is WIP (as stated in the title). Wait till it gets filled. And if you still think it's bad, don't just give me a bad rating, give me a suggestion how to improve.

Yes sir, got RC while on the Nexus 4! Thanks for noticing! Ironically it was my Galaxy Nexus friend @Nephilim who nominated me.

And: wtf, people are already downrating? Strange people. I just gave you 5 stars.

I think people aren't impressed with everyone jumping the gun on starting up these threads when the device has yet to be announced and released (let alone the source). Smacks of attention seeking, you know "look at me I'm the first one to make this thread so no one else can and I will get all the glory"

EDIT: post is regarding the low ratings being received

Yes some definitely are but this one in particular is not. It will be a lot of work and reading to keep it up do kudos to the op @benkxda for starting and maintaining this once the fun begins. :good:

Those people should first verify their suspicion that the OP is just seeking attention. For example, any research into @benkxda would show he has spent lots of time maintaining exactly this kind of thread for other devices and one might conclude that he probably intends this to be a serious thread which will benefit those who will use this phone.

Well, check the times. The portal news came out at 5 am and I created this thread at 7 pm. There was a lot of time (around 14 hours) for others to start this thread, I think this is a very slow start for this kind of thread. But someone has to start this thread someday ;)
I also maintain the indexes of the other smartphones I have. I am very interested in having a good index, so after the Galaxy Nexus lost the index maintainer, I asked him to help out. Finally it is now a good index thread, as well as the one from the S3 LTE. And if there are suggestions how to improve, I'll listen to it. I don't want any arguing because I was first, I want a good index thread. With the help of the community, we created always good threads. For the bad ratings, I can accept I get a low rating, if my content is awful, but even I have almost no content, the layout is not bad and I tried to make it clear, that this is WIP. Hopefully other XDA members will take it more serious and help improving this thread instead of just down rating it without any try to offer some help.

And finally, if you get a Nexus 5, I hope to see you here again, also contributing. :)

Oh yes, it will be a lot of work, but I am very well trained. I survived 3 portal posts, which flooded my threads, my PM and my e-mail account as well. However, as usual I need helping hands like those from @szucsgf. He deserves it to be a Recognized Contributor, but he should have become a RC as he was on Galaxy Nexus :). He really helped a lot over there. Now I am happy to have another guy in this thread, @Seraz007. Delivery of new threads is granted ;)
