After upgrade to 13, you can't downgrade.
Try flash bl again, and flash 2.3.4 to, so try wipe data again

I've tried this 3 times. Still not booting. When I'm on RSD Lite it doesn't display the IMEI etc. It just recognises the device as a flash 4g OMAP.... is that normal? And the Moto Logo doesn't appear anymore. It's just blank. But it still detects it when i plug it in.

Fixed SBF = CH Kernel
If I'm not wrong, choose 4.5.2-109-DHT-22-fixed.sbf
After restore msginger with CWM, before the first boot, enter in boot mode ( hold up button + power) and flash the fixed sbf with rsd lite 4.9 or above. Then wipe data (hold X + power button then vol up + vol down), or you will get bootloop

I'm a bit stuck... so far I've:

- restored MS2Ginger 3 RTM
- installed Milestone 2.zip
- rebooted holding 'up' on the volume...

...now all I get is the red Moto logo. Can't get RSD Lite 5.6 to recognise the phone. Tried stock boot (vol up + camera) and RSD detects the phone but not the IMEI etc. Then tried flashing the fixed SBF like you told me but it won't flash... I get a critical error FEBE 0047 response on the phone. Any ideas?

Try with rsdlite 4.9 and wipe data in stock recovery

Gave up in the end and just flashed the GB kernel update in this thread. Didn't like the ROM (k/b backlight only worked intermittently) so flashed a Nandroid of the UK GB ROM off the net. Now trying to downgrade using this method but it doesn't appear to be working. The downgrade SBF flashes fine but the multi-touch bug seems ever present.

Crapping myself now as it looks like I'm stuck with the buggy UK GB kernel for life :(

Sorry, but I dont know how to help you with this because I update to 2.3.6 without problems and I do not regret, works very well for me. Try flash the uk 2.3.4 sbf or 2.3.6 retail brazil. If you do not like msginger, try cm9 / cm7 / MIUI

Let me know if works well

    After some mods I could get Defy's boot menu to work on Milestone2. Will test it further before trying CM7 + Boot menu.

    Great news

    Great News ppl!

    I was able to flash my own update.zip into this damned Milestone2 phone. It looks like the /system protection is only engaged when you format /system partition or when you delete recursively the bare /system directory. But it is possible to remove the contents of every single /system sub-directory without being punished by the M logo lockdown. It's very simple indeed and the idea come from the updater-script of Droid2 Fission ROM.

    To achieve this result you should remove the following lines of updater-script:
    - any format command issued to /system
    - delete_recursive("/system");

    And replace for this lines:
    delete_recursive("/system/app/");
    delete_recursive("/system/etc/");
    delete_recursive("/system/fonts/");
    delete_recursive("/system/framework/");
    delete_recursive("/system/lib/");
    delete_recursive("/system/media/");
    delete_recursive("/system/tts/");
    delete_recursive("/system/usr/");
    delete_recursive("/system/xbin/");

    Also my custom update.zip where able to start ADB while the phone is still booting.

    Very nice :)

    I had exactly the same problem as yours while flashing roms a while ago

    you won' t fix it with the baseband switching app that comes for instance with milestone 2 toolbox (it did not work for me)

    you have to follow the full procedure described here

    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1182050

    this should certainly work

    From that chinese forum gfan, I used google translate to find the rom heh and suffered a beyond slow download rate on u.115.com, I'm finishing uploading it to a eastern server.

    The original file is located at u.115.com/file/bh5durqs#
    click on the button I circled red to download it
