Proudly presents LeeDrOiD Urbane

An LG Urbane Port for the LG G Watch R

LeeDrOiD Accepts no responsibility for:
Any damage to your device
Any loss of data
Lack or loss of sleep - Due to but not solely caused by ROM flashing addictions
The end of the world
Or your granny's Alzheimer's (It's a disease, it had nothing to do with me)

Installation instructions, thanks to @AndiTails :

  1. Download LeeDrOiD_R_Urbane_Port_V3.1.rar from the download section below and extract the images
  2. Reboot your watch to the bootloader (tap 10 & 4 o'clock on LG logo)
  3. Check your watch can be seen by your computer by typing
Code:
fastboot devices

If all good, you can continue!
This will assume you've got the system.img and boot.img files from the LeeDrOiD_R_Urbane_Port_V3.1.rar in the right directory. If not, or unsure, write everything up to the filename, leave a space, and click and drag the file into the command prompt window for the full directory and filename to be added to the command.

Code:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot format userdata
fastboot format cache
fastboot format system
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot

Remove from cradle to ensure you don't get a bootloop on the LG screen. You can replace if you need do when the graphics and swirling boot animation is happening. Or just make sure watch has plenty of charge before you start this.
First boot takes a few minutes.
Pair it up as a brand new "LG Watch Urbane - Black Edition"... Or "LG Watch Urbane" as the case may be ;)

Optional steps (do before reboot) - download original 5.1.1 recovery from here and flash it using the command
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

For the grumpy sticklers tht want the stock LG, SuperDrOiD Free boot animation... The stock zip can be found in the downloads section, do the below in recovery.
Code:
adb shell mount /system
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
adb reboot

I am making the assumption you already know how to carry out the above commands, if not then go here The information super highway

Special thanks to: @IntersectRaven & @Tasssadar for their excellent contributions to the Lenok community.

what features does this add that stock 5.1.1 GWR doesn't have? I see it adds wifi, but wasn't sure what else. Thanks

No you don't need your watch rooted, as long as it is unlocked with TWRP, just flash it and you should be good to go =]
Installation:
1. unlock your bootloader
2. Flash the latest TWRP custom recovery image.
3. Nandroid backup your current install
4. Wipe your cache & dalvik-cache
5. Reboot to bootloader
6. fastboot flash system system.img
7. fastboot flash boot boot.img
8. fastboot reboot
9. ENJOY

Excellent.... Can you clarify on which twrp bit didn't work?

well.. i installed twrp with no prob. but when tried to boot up, it wont start to watchmode, but will go to twrp. this had happened to me since yest. so what i did was just flash the system, boot, and the normal recovery which i got from another thread.

by the way, i havent tested the wifi yet, is there a way we can get the wifi mac address for this watch? :D my lan uses mac filtering, thus need to register this mac add. hahaha :p
