Blue Mist

This is a smooth ICS Blue theme I made for CM9 and AOKP. I tried to add everything I wanted modified into this theme and spent a lot of time on it.

Warning: I highly recommend that you flash this theme after booting up from a fresh install of the ROM and gapps. If you ever have any problems with a nandroid restore or bootloop: Just Reboot into Recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache, and re-flash your ROM and gapps. Then flash the theme again!

Blue Mist Includes:
  • Honeycomb Battery (With Counting Animation)
  • Center Clock Mod
  • Sony Sketch Font
  • Blue Selections
  • Black Dialer Background
  • Inverted Contacts (I Had To Build This From Source Code To Get It Working!)
  • ICS Themed Keyboard
  • ICS Style MMS
  • Black and Blue Calender
  • Themed Calculator
  • Flying Windows
  • Updated Status Bar and Power Buttons
  • Some Transparent Notifications
  • Blue Icons on Settings
  • Honeycomb Mod Lock Screen (I Built This From Source As Well)
  • Themed Recent Apps Mod
  • New Loading Icon
  • Inverted Themed Apps: Email, Gmail, Google Voice, Google Talk, Music, Youtube, and Google Play.
  • Themed Easter Egg
  • And A Lot More Blue!

This theme will only work for CM9 Beta 2 and AOKP Milestone 5.2!

Just wipe cache and dalvik cache, then flash.

Save some battery with inverted apps!

Please let me know what you think and enjoy!

If you guys like the custom icons I'm using, here you go. I made most of them and about 10 are from Big Goron's ICS Icon Pack:

If you appreciate my work, buy me a Starbucks.

Thanks To:

  • shane6374 for letting me use some of his .png files and for helping me with the center clock mod.

  • Big Goron for showing me the correct color codes.

  • kennyglass123 for helping me get nandroid backups/restores working.

  • UberPinguin for helping me with my CM9 source build.

  • gsxrdon over at RootzWiki for the Blue Keyboard.

Nice job...did a nandroid backup after flashing, wiped everything, and then did a restore. No boot loops. Again...nice job.

Any plans on keeping this updated with the upcoming ICS builds?

Thanks, glad you like it! I will be keeping it updated with every release of CM9. I'm also changing some more icons and it should be getting better along the way. I tested it with a nandroid backup and restore as well. Everything is working good.

Updated with more features. Blue Mist is the new name I decided to go with as it is closer to a full theme.

Your blue is a little off if your using gimp to colorize use these numbers

195
80
-25 or -50 depending on the icons brightness.

Are you talking about the power buttons? If so, thanks for the color codes. I'll try to update later today.

OMGoodness...this soooo sweet. Now of only someone would do something about the plain-jane messaging app, my phone would be perfect for what I use it for. I'll may never flash another Rom again. Thank you so very much.

Loving it man,
Question though, in your screen shot your bottom icons and dock are customized, how exactly? I can't for the life of me find out lol. In settings/launcher, pressing Dock and Icons doesn't do anything, only Homescreen, Drawer and General work. So yeah, how exactly do you change them? tried long pressing and all that jazz :[

Those are one of probably two things. Custom app icons or themed apps.

I've seen a few themed/inverted ICS Google/system apps floating around in the other forums.

Regarding the theme, I think it's a done deal with this one. I was going nuts waiting on Shanes update, but i'm rejoicing that I opened this thread and flashed this theme. Currently the best one going IMO. Great work!

Yeah I know how to change each APK's icon separately, but that doesn't explain the dock, unless he changed the PNG in the ICS launcher, which is possible, but than I just wonder why that PNG isn't included in the zip for the theme.... :p

You can get the dock icons in the theme section from Big Goron. The thread is called CM9 icons and you just need a launcher that allows you to change the icon of each app.

Hey guys,

I'm glad you're enjoying the theme so far. I just updated a bunch a stuff so make sure you click on the link and get the newest version in the OP. The battery now matches the stock battery color, power buttons are now stock but blue (It looks much more clean!), a ton more icons and colored ICS Blue, and everything is properly color coded. If you guys see anything I missed or something you might like to see, please let me know so I can add it to the next update.

    Hey guys,

Just wanted to let everybody know that I just got done moving. I should have some more time to work on the themes now and I'll try to have something back on the forums when I can.

Got everything updated for Beta 2! I also fixed the weird texture in the status bar for the center clock mod. It is now solid black and looks good. Expect Purple Haze and Tangerine Dream to be updated later today.
