Presenting LiGux

Current Version: Watermint with TOBV2 Patch (1.99)

Changelog
  • Added Ligux Lockscreen (to use, open OneKeyLock, accept privaleges, and select slider tab lockscreen, and back to CoopoUI Ring)
  • Intergrated AROMA Installer. To use, you must have a kernel with TOUCH SCREEN DRIVER! Even if the touchscreen doesn't work, the installer will, as long as the kernel has the touchscreen driver.
  • SMS Settings FC
  • Smoother Scrolling
  • Updated OxyLauncher
  • Updated APN list
  • Data is a go
  • Calls are a go

What Works :) [in v1.99 "Watermint-Redux2"]
  • WiFi
  • Calls
  • Data
  • MMS
  • SMS
  • GPS
  • Cameras (both)
  • Settings
  • Moar Stuff

What's not Working :(
  • 4G

Download here

Working on
  • Setting Translations

Credits
  • ajrty33
  • SinisterTensai
  • EvilKonceptz (help this guy out, he got in a bad accident)
  • JayarMc
  • The LiGux devs
  • CyanogenMod Team
  • God

How to Install

  • Go to the "latest" folder, and choose your download. The ZIP with AROMA is the one with the fancy touch installer. Download this is you have the Amon RA-Style recovery.
  • Download the 1.99 update
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Flash the ROM, then the update
  • Reboot
  • Grab a beer (or in my case, some OJ, cause I'm 13...)
  • Enjoy!

Here is a quote from ajrty33 and his LiGux port detailing some options available in this ROM

Customization/Settings Info
There's many available settings to customize this rom.

Under "common" settings, make sure to go under "keyevent settings" > "End button behavior" and select "Go to sleep." These settings are what you would normally find in Spare Parts.

Status Bar:
Click the clock to bring up the "notification power widgets." These can be changed just like CM in "CM Settings" > "Notification Power Widget" > "Widget Buttons."
Pull down on the left side of the status bar for notifications!
Under "personal" > "system ui" you can enable weather on the lockscreen. This works! If the weather doesn't show, go into the "News and Weather App" and make sure it has your location and the current weather shown.
You can also center the clock under the "statusbar ui" settings

Status Bar Transparency:
Under the "personal" tab on settings, you can enable transparency in the statusbar. Under "statusbar ui," click "statusbar background" > "color fill" and slide alpha all the way down.

App Transparency:
Under the "personal" tab on settings, you can enable transparency in app windows. Under "system ui," click "set window background" > "color fill" and slide alpha down. I recommend not sliding it all the way down so your apps at least have a dimmed background.
Here's a screenshot with some extreme settings:

There's many other settings to play with!

Great! It's good to see everyone isn't going ICS on us...

ICS too unstable atm for me. hope we can progress on this project. I love the power widget thing. if I can get it on CIUI's systemui/framewok res that should be a good start for other fix's it's easier to port over a feature to a stable build vs trying to stabilize something.

Good Point. This is pretty damn stable, but the the phone process is the only major "bug". Better feature translations are easy, and then cleaning up (removing unnecesary APKs), and getting better icons (honeycomb icons look bleh on GB) shouldn't be too hard.

Very interesting ROM. I like the design and some of the features, including that cool toggle menu. I'll keep a look out in here.

Progress so far

Data and MMS Fixes are getting merged with the main ROM in the next release (tomorrow hopefully)

Phone is fully working now (for me, SinisterTensai gets to test it next...) Will also be available in the next release (again, hopefully tomorrow)

    New! Exciting! Magical! Revolutionary! (Really!)

I had loads of free time. Delay was worth it, eh?

The installer is fully touch based! Oh, and ignore the Captivate part, this was originally for a small theme for the SGS Captivate :p

Think I got data fixed, realising tonight.

When the update drops, I will be on this like Whitney on a bender. What, too soon ?
