Thanks! Works fine on my GT-I9500 on 4.4.2 stock TW. The apk on Dev-Host is not zipaligned by the way though. Maybe it's a placebo, but after I zipaligned it the gesture trail animation seemed so much smoother. And I also noticed the option in Advanced Settings to hide the launcher icon in the drawer is absent. Strange that they removed it. Attached is the log of the zipalign check.

New Google Keyboard 4.0

2. Put lib in system/lib and set correct permissions. Reboot.
3. Install as a normal apk the Keyboard

Thanks for the update
Anyways there is a small graphic bug, with material lite theme setted, the emoji options are unreadable.. Check the screen (i put them in a zip because i can't upload the images )

Also, the keyboard isn't able to rotate horizontally while texting. When I do, I get the message, "Unfortunately, Google Keyboard has stopped."

Can you test it on Hangouts and/or Smitten SMS for me? Is that tested on a tablet btw?
