Here is the details of my device

Kernel version : 3.10.72+
Device Name :LeEco Le1s (MT6795)
Android Version : 6.0 (Marshmallow)
ROM : stock rom EUI version 5.8.019S (stable)

attached the boot.img ( remove .zip extension )

I got following errors while flashing the given zip

-- Boot image: not found, aborting

Error: Unsupported device
Aborting...
Failed to patch boot image!

The screen went black and did not respond on any button press, it gave me a heart attack but after some time it booted fine. The screen is flickering all the time. Root is lost and I had to flash Super Su again. Also the screen is flickering is it normal?

Hmm...
That's a weird problem. Did u use twrp to flash? Also is it the boot.img from ur rom.
U can try wiping cache (NOT FACTORY RESET) and see if helps.

Yes I did used TWRP 2.8.7
Still have those error but I guess they are just bogus as NetHunter booted fine. Also chroot is working. I would like to thank you for doing all this. Would it be possible for you to create a tutorial on how to port kali to mediatek devices?
