About
The WinDroid Toolkit is a Windows program built in Visual Studio using the C# programming language that simplifies the rooting process for many Android devices. The toolkit makes it easy to unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery and gain permanent root. It also includes other functions such as flashing kernels, pushing files and installing apps. If you find it helpful, give me a thanks and a donation if you can. If you find a bug or have a feature request, feel free to leave a reply. Thanks!

Hey, great work! I haven't gotten my moto x pure yet but I appreciate you putting this together for us.

One question, would it be possible to add an option to remove the bootloader unlocked warning as well? I see here in this forum that there's a way to do it, but if you could automate it with your program I think it would add to it.

Thanks either way!

I agree, an option to one click fix the unlock warning message would be awesome!

Thanks for this tool.

Probably an issue with Windows 10, but the tool crashes after every command. I have to reopen the tool and try again. I eventually got everything by command prompt, but I loved the tool on my 2014 X. Thank you.

I seem to be having problems getting this to work.

I'm running this on Windows 10 and haven't had any crashing issues, but none of the actions seem to stick on my device. The bootloader never actually gets unlocked even though the logs indicate that it does (as you can see I tried it multiple times):

Bootloader still shows that it is locked and I cannot get the recovery to flash. Everything up to this point worked fine.

I can go ahead and just unlock it the manual way, but I wanted to use this awesome tool. :)

Any idea what is going on here?

Awesome, I plan on buying a Moto X Pure in the next month or two and root access was something I am not willing to go without, glad to see the forums are already coming alive for this new powerhouse!

Strange. I guess I'll just have to try it manually then and make sure something isn't wrong with my setup.

EDIT: I just figured out what the issue was. It might be helpful to put this in the OP so that other people do not make the same mistake:

The installation was failing because I did not go to the developer options and enable OEM unlocking. It works now, thanks so much!

Interesting. Especially considering the first bullet point on Motorola's site says you will lose all installed applications, media, etc.

    https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a

Ive unlocked the bootloader on about all of my Motorola phones (Razr HD, Razr M, Moto X 2013, Moto X 2015) and all have been wiped after the process. If I remember right my Nexus devices were wiped after unlocking the bootloader too.

You must be living right or full of crap.
First of all, the website says it "may" or "could" wipe your phone.

2nd of all, why would I say that if it wasn't for true

3rd of all, please readjust your attitude
