Wifi not working:
Use WifiX Manager, apk attached to this post.

Other Languages:
German: http://forum.miui.ch/index.php?/topic/166-miui-v4-v2720-deutschenglisch-von-blindyener90/

If you would like to translate this ROM to another language, I will link to it in this thread. I ask that you also link back to my thread and give me the credit for porting the ROM.
Alternate kernel:
You should be able to use any AOSP (read: not Sense) ICS kernel.
Currently the ROM comes with the same kernel that's in the base ROM for that version. You can check your kernel version in Settings > About Phone, you see "Kernel Version"
Lordmod kernels are very popular and located here: http://blackice.omca.co.uk/download/index.php?dir=icecoldsandwich/Kernels
Edit: With Jellybean builds, try out the KangBang test kernels here: http://synergy.codefi.re/KB-7x30-TestKernels
Remember to always wipe dalvik-cache when flashing a kernel.
(want me to list your kernel? shoot me a pm)
"Do I need/can I use inspiremod?"
If you use it with other ROMs, use it with this one. It works fine without it for me, I've never suffered from the tinny sound effect, but it is compatible with this ROM.
Having trouble with GPS/Location?
This may help:
First, check in Settings > Location services and make sure Google's location service is turned on.
Download GPS Status & Toolbox from the Play Store
Preferably for the first lock, you should be outside with a clear view of the sky.
Turn GPS on, open GPS Status.
Hit Menu, Tools, Manage A-GPS state
Hit Reset
Go back to Manage A-GPS state menu, hit Download
You should get a lock of 6-7+ satellites within a minute or two. Future locks should be within 30 seconds or so.
Having another issue?
Before posting here with issues, please make sure you:

  • Read the last two pages of the thread
  • Are able to reproduce the issue
  • Have full wiped. Upgrades are usually okay, but if you're having an issue, the first step is always trying a full wipe. Feel free to do a nandroid so if the issue persists you can restore your data.
  • Tell me what version you're running.
  • Provide steps to reproduce the error.
  • Provide a logcat

If you do not follow these guidelines, you will be ignored.

How to logcat:
Probably the easiest way to provide a logcat, is with aLogcat.
Open aLogcat after whatever incident you would like to report,
Hit Menu > Save
Files save to /sdcard/alogcat/
How to boot into recovery:
  • Open Updater app, hit Menu > Reboot to Recovery
  • Issue `adb reboot recovery` from a computer or `su -c "reboot recovery"` from within Terminal Emulator app
  • Use ROM Manager, 4Ext Recovery Updater / Control, QuickBoot or GooManager
  • Power phone off, turn back on while holding volume down, select "Recovery" from hboot menu.
...

I thought it's the official new MIUI 2.4.6?!

This is the official MIUI.us port of MIUI v4. I use 0xD34D (lithium76 here on xda)'s N1 build which he ports directly from Nexus S (one of the only official ICS MIUI ROMs from China) and LorD ClockaN's Ice Cold Sandwich to put this together.

Edit: Sorry, I forgot I wanted to say more. The official MIUI 2.4.6 for the Ace (DHD/Inspire) is still Gingerbread based, until we get official ICS, and then China will make an ICS MIUI for us.

Just got an e-mail that my dropbox public links are suspended haha..

Uploading it to my real server, I should have it up in about 10-15 minutes. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Edit, alright, I've got it uploaded, the new link is on my MIUI.us thread and everything's good to go. Sorry again...

How is this different from dekkyy's build? http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1512565

Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium
I'm not sure what he does to his build, so I'm honestly not sure.
My build is the official port of www.miui.us and is 99% stock MIUI v4 (only thing added is miui.us apps and 4way power menu).

Looks awesome!! Anything else needed to put on Inspire?

Nothing necessary, but you can flash InspireMod if you see fit.

You have german xml files? You would need to decompile my apks, move your xmls in place of mine in values, and recompile the apk.. For adding as an alternative language, I'm not 100% sure. I know there needs to be the addition of a folder like "values-XXXX" but I'm not sure if that's all there is to it.

I have a working build put together but wifi isn't working, so I'm struggling to fix it, and once it's fixed, the ROM will be released.

Edit: Definitely really liking MIUI JB.. There's some graphical issues here and there, nothing major, but I'm sure those will be resolved as JB development continues, both for our phones and MIUI. It's feeling a lot smoother than the ICS builds, and there seems to be more free RAM at any given point. I'm working on getting wifi fixed because you guys have got to try this ;)

We had some issues with the official roms yesterday which stopped me from making my build and today I haven't had a lot of time. The new build will be up tomorrow afternoon sometime; I have breakfast plans. Given all the circumstances, I will be basing on BR5-t2. It does seem that Ice Cold is a bit faster, but with so many complaining about random reboots, I don't think I can continue with it. Also given that the current build of Ice Cold is probably the last one, it doesn't make much sense to use it. I've gotten permission from killersloth to use his kstune init.d script which seems to help with battery usage, so hopefully that works out well for everyone. I may consider setting up an automated builder with the last Ice Cold for people who were not having issues with it and enjoy the extra bit of speed, but I'm not positive yet; it would entail me testing and uploading two roms each week, but if enough people want it, it very well may come to pass.
