LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.0.0 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Requires Unlocked Bootloader & a custom recovery

Reboot in Bootloader Mode
Go to "Recovery" (Vol +/Vol -) and confirm (power)
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Dalvik cache
Install the ROM zip
Install the Gapps zip (optional)
Reboot

perhaps could be compiled for nx513j but i do not have the phone to test

problem here

hello there,
i got some problems with this build, everything is going fine when i use phone, install apps and do settings, but and here is the problem, but when phone goes to "emergency" stance.. seems like it goes to offline but i need hold power button for 10 or longer to turn it on (seems like restart device when got issues with black screen).. trying change "wake up" settings (double taps etc) and none helps.. any idea what can it be? no other errors or problems, just this..

Tried this ROM on my buddy's Z9 MAX NX512J. He reported a lot of issues:
Battery drains faster than charging!
The device is always hot!
Music don't work.
When locking screen device turns off and requires power-on again!

I was trying to use this ROM for a ZTE Nubia N2 (which is AFIK a NX575J) of course during installation it failed, stating, that the model isn't compatible. I therefore tried to remove the first line (assert) from `META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script` and compressed it using compress on Ubuntu as well as `jar cf lineage-15.zip path/to/folder`. However this failed both with the error: "Invalid zip file format! Error installing zip file '/external_sd/lineage-15.zip'"

Could someone tell me how to modify the build to allow for the N2 and then compress it again?

I have successfully replaced the Nubia OS (Android 5.1) with LineageOS 15.1 (Android 8.1) by following these steps and using those links:

- Install latest TWRP from https://eu.dl.twrp.me/nx512j/
- Install firmware update https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424951155 (otherwise device loops at second boot)
- Install latest ROM image from https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=211931 lineage-15.1-20180519-UNOFFICIAL-nx512j.zip

You can reach TWRP from Volume-up + On switch.

I tried to install the NanoDroid App https://github.com/Nanolx/NanoDroid but that requires a ROM with signature spoofing, which this image is not. So Gapps Pico open_gapps-arm64-8.1-pico-20220503.zip would be the alternative to allow Google based services.

If anybody is aware of an even more recent image then let us know!
