Simple Flash magisk zip again. It's a known magisk bug. Try magisk 14.3 or newer if available.
Or switch to the good old supersu Root method [emoji6]

Got it to work. I reflashed the rom, immediately installed viper then boom success

I tried the add-on via magisk root app but I used the version that just installed without any form of gui.
I know it worked as I could hear the difference in the sound.
Also the duel speaker mod was nice as well.

I don't know what that is.
When I said there is no gui/ui then it means I don't have access to the options but if you look in the magisk ad on section you will find 3 or 4 different viper4 so try them out and see which one works best for you.
Google 'viper arise magnum opus' and install this via TWRP.
It will install a fully working Viper4android sound mod with all the convolution files. You will need to edit an installation text file before installation for the options you want and then place the file in the root of your internal storage, before using the aroma install via TWRP.
This method of sound mod is definitely worth the effort to install... There is a huge difference in sound and when set up correctly I can hardly tell the difference between my NOTE8 and my HTC 10.

Perfect. Thanks for your help. I usually use the Dolby Logic Pro II profile. I suppose everyone has different taste (& set of ears), which is what makes the whole thing wonderful.
If anyone is interested, I kept it simple with enabling core, v4a v2.5.05 and Qualcomm effect as "Sony".
It seems that my country doesnt support GAssistant. So i reflashed and set it up to English US and google assistant is enabled again.

Read a few pages back.. Page 54. In rom control u have to disable clock launch.
