I am completely stumped. I flashed the stock FP1, then the FP1 Deodexed/Debloated/rooted with Eclipse AOSP apps. I cleared cache/delvik cache before installing. I flashed both the startup and shutdown screens in CWM. I see no shutdown screen whatsoever, and the startup screen is the Galaxy S. I recleared the caches, reinstalled the ROM in CWM, unzipped the eclipse clouds then manually copied the sanim.zip file via Rootexplorer to the system/media folder after deleting the original sanim.zip file. I changed the permissions on the new sanim.zip file to rw-r-r. The phone still boots to the Galaxy S animation. Root Explorer shows the copied sanim.zip file in the system/media folder. Where is the Galaxy S animation coming from?
Just for the fun of it, I used Root Explorer and just went in and completely deleted the sanim.zip file from the system/media folder, and guess what? I still get the Galaxy S startup animation.
