[ROM] [JB] [P4--P4WIFI--P4VZW] 4.1.2 AOKP for the Galaxy Tab 10.1

This is a build I compiled of AOKP for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 p4vzw, p4, and p4wifi. All credit goes to the AOKP team, and the CM team. Its their code, i just compiled it, and got it to build for the tab. This is strictly unofficial. As far as I know, there isn't a jellybean AOKP build for this device, so here some AOKP goodness. I have added a few touches of my own. Nothing major. Little changes. Not enough to call it anything but AOKP though.

The usual applies, flash at your own risk. If you drown in the tub tonight cuz u flashed this rom, don't come crying to me!!

This rom runs Pershoot's kernel, version 3.1

How to flash:

1. Download the rom:

p4

p4vzw

p4wifi

2. Gapps (All thanks to Kill Droid Hack for packaging it and his work on it up to that point, sharingan92 for his thread i got it from, and all the amazing people who attacked the 4.2 and tore that s**t up! You guys rock!!)

3. MAKE A NANDROID!!

4. Please do a full Wipe of data, cache, and dalvik

5. Flash rom

6. Flash gapps

7. Reboot

Enjoy!

Changes:

*Added the 4.2 keyboard
*The 4.2 Gapps
*Changed the color of the data arrows(I couldn't ever see the gray on gray)

I should b able to build it for both of those tabs. Gimme a bit today. Takes me 2 1/2 hours to build, and I won't b able to start till after work. I'll get back to u guys tho.

Thank you triptosyll for putting this together for us 4G VZW owners. I've had mixed feeling toward Samsung/VZW stock ICS. One of my major complaints is the poor battery life. Can you please comment on the battery life with your ROM and are you able to test HDMI out?

The battery life has been fixed with jb. I was pretty sure it was a bug in ics. My battery seems good so far.

And about your recovery, I believe I'm using cwm 5.5.4 (or something like that. Gimme a little bit to find out.) It should work fine. If you want, I can upload the recovery to this thread for u. U would b flashing that with Odin.

Can't you just get CWM from the appropriate thread/droidbasement.com?

As far as I know, u can overclock this to 1.4, and I don't know about the cameras, I haven't tested them yet. I will b shortly.

I just started the build for the p4, and when that completes, i will
start the p4wifi. However, know this: I do not own either of these, so bug fixing will b questionable. But if you guys would let me know after you flash them, how they're doing, that would b awesome. If they both boot, then I will add them to the OP.

Don't say thanks, theres a button for it. Hit the thanks instead, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Glad to see more development on this one. Not many of us VZW users here. If I knew what I was doing I would go thru the stock rom and tweak it. IMO there are some things about the TW rom that are nice (email and Calendar functionality and the Task sync for exchange), but performance SUCKS.

Downloading now to give it a shot. Kudos.

Here is the droidbasement site with links to each galaxy tab 10.1 version and its respectable recovery zip of cwm 5.5.04, which is what I'm using. I don't known if other versions will work, so I would recommend 5.5.04

For CWM, I am using the Latest from Pershoot. 6.0 something or another. I odin'ed it in.

And I have tested both front and rear cameras. All is working perfectly!

yes. it worked perfectly. Flashed very easily.

one thing for all to remember so you dont freak out. YOU WILL NOT SEE NAVIGATION BUTTONS UNTIL SETUP IS COMPLETE.

I Tibu'd in all my apps and am working on settling in so far. I have OC'd it to 1200 and it loaded 80 apps in very quickly. Working on my exchange account and other aspects of it.

I am going to poke around for a better launcher to use with it. the navigation buttons are so spread apart it looks funny to me. Otherwise, EVERYTHING seems to work. I have not tried cellular service yet. as there is NONE at my office.

I did have a system freeze when I went to plug it into my laptop.

Yeah I didn't get that either. Why they're so far apart. But other than that and the swagger wallpapers not opening, it runs awesome on a tab.

well, the tablet does not come up when I plug it into USB. when in debugging mode, it comes up as ACER adb. with USB debugging disabled, nothing happens except charge.
