[Q] Update from CM 10.1 to newer ROMs fails (stops on Smasung boot screen)

I would like to update my current CM 10.1 (20140112-NIGHTLY-p4wifi) setup either to JB4.3 Ganbarou ROM or KK4.4 OMNI ROM. But with no success.

After flashing the ROMs as described in their OPs and rebooting the tablet, it hangs forever at the initial Samsung boot screen.

I also replaced CWM 6.0.3.6 with TWRP 2.6.3.0, but this didn't help.

After restoring my ROM backup, CM10.1 starts up again perfectly.

What am I doing wrong?

make wipe cache+system+data

flash ics bootloader

flash ics modem

flash rom

flash gapps super su if needed(ganbarou have it)

Thanks for helping.

Reflashing ics bootloader didn't work, either.

It looks like I have to stay with CM 10.1.
