I was just wondering is it a policy not to put some screen shots of the rom?
Thanks

Hi,

I recently rooted my Nexus 7 (don't ask me what took so long!!) :cyclops: and then I flashed candy rom and sweetener packs. I wiped cache/davlik and did factory reset but I keep getting a message when I first turn on my tablet - unfortunately, candy center has stopped. It appears I am still able to change things but was wondering if anyone knew why I would get that message? Should I dirty flash the rom again and/or sweetener pack?

Am really enjoying all the changes I can make!! :good:

Thanks!

KK 4.4.4

Edit: oops, you probably mean candy rom version. 1.6.0, 20140905.

So I upgraded to v. 1.6.1 and I ran into a problem that happened the first time I flashed candy rom from my previous rom - I lost root. Not sure why that keeps happening? Is that a known issue or did I totally miss the boat on something?

Thanks.

EDIT: Nevermind. Smack myself in the head. If I read/searched before asking I would have found the answer to my question. Had to enable root in dev section.

Wrong link. Fixed now...

Hey boss. Without sounding like a dumba$$, what is the difference between the two, deb and flo?

Is flo the wifi version? And deb for LTE ?

Never mind. Google found the answer for me. http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2440513. ?

tni.andro said:
flo/dep are the hardware codenames.

flo = Nexus 7 2013 Wifi
deb = Nexus 7 2013 LTE

Anyway, a big thanks for this ROM. I'm downloading and flashing now. Have a great weekend.

Chrome in a desktop window?

I just upgraded from 1.4.x and installed 1.6.2 on my Nexus 7. Now, every time I start a chrome browser session, it shows up as a window on my desktop. There is no obvious way to expand to the full screen experience, and it's the only app that I have noticed to exhibit this behavior.

2 questions:
How do I unscrew my browser experience, short of going back to stock browser?
Who thought this would be a good idea as a default behavior?

Its a chrome bug. I hate it too. Forced to use aosp browser until its fixed.

CandyKat 5.0.2

For those interested in v.1.62 for the "Grouper", you can grab it here.

CandyKat-grouper-4.4.4.release.v1.6.2-Official-20141018

Candy Shop has a Lollipop rom out. 5.0.2 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=21952
I've been rocking as a daily driver Candy 5 for months. Release 1.5.0 works really well.
Just checked this site today and noticed a few new revs. http://the-candy-shop.co/candy5.html

I wonder why the OP hasn't posted about V5 in on XDA. I love it.

This is CandyKat. Built straight from SlimRoms source with commits
from a variety of different Sources/ROMS. We wanted to give the users a fun,
fully customizable ROM.We aim to add more features as this project progresses.
We have also come up with the Candy Sweetener Pack. This is an Aroma installer
that is full of delicious treats. Inspired by the CandyShop thread on XDA it has
everything from glow dots to halo mods.

Another awesome ROM thnx mar5hal!!! I have one problem though, when I flash candy sweetener pack 1 the changes don't apply! Any solution??

Sent from my GT-I9082 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

I just realized that the sweetener pack isn't designed to target this device. I will see if I can moddify it to direct to the correct folders. Just need to resizrle the images. Thanks for bringing this to my attention :good:
