New builds posted in OP! wifi and 3g, based on AOKP b32.

The 3g build was limited tested so please let us know asap if there are any connection type issues. Hereby placing another call for volunteer 3g pre-testers!

Please IM me if interested

Thanks!

Thanks for your efforts and the ROM. It really is great!

Using b32 on 3G and its working!
just added APN settings as my carrier isn't that well known. and its fine.

Only thing is error message 'System UI' has closed or something. Intermittent. Could be my setup though.

Same here. 3G working OK but getting consistent System UI force closes when opening or using certain apps (Titanium Backup and Tapatalk so far).

I also noticed that after the System IU has reloaded the WiFi coverage bar appear full empty, even with perfect reception. Reconnecting solves the issue.

the system ui FCing is a bug from aokp. they tried to implement a hide navbar feature wich ended up breaking quite a few things. im guessing a new version will be out pretty soon. lets just hope team soup will provide another 3g version!

so can we disable any of the navbar options to avoid fcs then?

However, if you are experiencing SystemUI crashes, you can fix this without having to wipe data, etc.

Go into ROMControl - > Navigation Bar -> Navigation bar glow color and set a color (doesn't matter what .. just set a color).

*DO NOT* RESET NAVBAR. Either reboot, or wait for SystemUI to restart (and it should once the glow color is set.

You can THEN Reset NavBar if you'd like, or proceed to prepare your navbar as you wish.

I think these are known issues with B32 of AOKP, we would have waited for b33 but we figured you already waited too long for an update so as soon as we see a new update you will have them!

(B32) 3G works but browser stops responding from time to time. Same browser bug related to loading pages, it stops loading pages. I had to force close it too much already. It also happens with Opera so it's not a browser bug. I think it's Flash related.

Edit:
Ok, it is Flash related. In Opera it says something about "local storage" and in stock browser the page stops responding if it's Flash content. Uninstalled Flash and pages load fine.
Now, how I'm going to watch Flash content, like an embedded video? This is what differentiates from the iPad, right?

Guys need help.

First of all, very nice rom. Great! Since I flashed it, I did every correctly such as wipe cache and clear all data before flashing. Now, I realized that I keep receiving this pop up message "Unfortunetely, system UI has stopped".

What is wrong? Can someone please advise?

Read several posts back. Has to do with the nav bar and coding.

when moving to cm9 did you wipe completely before flashing?
data and wifi work perfectly on cm9. there is no reason they shouldn't and porting stuff would only make it worse.
backup the apps you need with titanium and do a completely FRESH install meaning factory reset before flashing.
everything should work just fine!

and still no update for 3g from galaxian soup.
    oh man...

i'm pretty sure most of the devs have a real life, job & better things to do than build roms for each release...
be patient. its free! if you don't like it figure out how to build and compile the rom yourself.
sorry if i sound kinda mean but people complaining about devs not releasing stuff, when the devs do it in their own time and for free kinda pisses me off...

With the greatest of respect, I did read all the posts, I've been following since the beginning. I was wondering with the AOKP folks being on build 32, whether or not we would be getting an upgrade.

Yes, I have a concern like everyone else about the camera but I know that's a problem across all ROM's. However if this one wasn't being developed, then it would not have a camera...not ever. There is no law that a ROM has to be developed forever.

We've been working on the camera for all gtab 8.9s (we would immediately share with all rom builders), but its not as easy as snapping your fingers. I personally have spent 12+ hours attempting to adapt the ICS wrapper (which has little to no documentation and isn't even for our SOC).

Blame samsung for their lack of expediency in releasing the source code or a rom. Once that happens (or a miracle of programming genius) we will add the camera support post haste.

For the record we will continue to develop this and the AOSP rom (and perhaps another), we have the experience to bring you quality. We hope you continue to appreciate our effort's, my build env is fixed so updates will come faster.

    Ciao
