Try to reboot the device. It should fix the FC
Google won't reinstate the app.
But I still can publish the app to the Play Store as a new one. So I'm working on it now. It gonna be a free trial app + another app to unlock the full version. I'll create an apk which will unlock the full version for people who have already purchased the app. So they won't have to pay for the app again. Also, I have to remove all root functions from the app which gonna be on the Play Store. So another apk with root functions will be on the xda.
For some mobile phones, the use of root method sound quality is better.I am using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro International Edition (Kate model) with NX ROM (Marshmallow) and Magisk 12 and CallRecorder 2.40 and Alpha 5 both are working fine on it.
Two questions just out of curiosity:
1. Does CallRecorder work without root access as it used to and if yes, why was there root access needed, anyway?
2. Do we have to have installed two apps/APKs from now on, for example Alpha 6 and the root apk?
Thank you for your information/work.
Has anyone gotten this app to work with the new OnePlus 5? If so, which settings are you using?

I can confirm that. Works really good. Both sides of the call are pretty clear. The phone is not rooted. Here are the setting i am using:
Code:Device: Other Recording Method: Standart API Standart API Settings: Audio Source: Voice call uplink+downlink Recording format: WAV (8000 Hz) Recording mode: Mono Don't use AMR driver: checked Start recording on answer: unchecked Delay before start recording: For outgoing 2.0 sec, for incoming: 1.0 sec
Had AMR enabled and auto start recording on answer, but got one force restart and after changing them all works smooth even for some really long conversations (> 30 min).
TBH, it's best sound quality on recording so far (really loud and clear). Previously i was on htc m7 and htc 10.
I restored the app with Titanium Backup after switching from Nexus 6P to OnePlus 5. Turns out it magically works. Here are my recording settings:
Device: Huawei Nexus 6P
Recording method: CAF
(Under CAF settings) Recording format: MP3
(Under CAF settings) Volume control: 12.5%
Recording all calls (incoming and outgoing)
Haven't tried an incoming call yet, though, so I can only confirm successful recording on an outgoing call. Happy recording!
You need to install both CallRecorderROOT_v.1.0_alpha01.apk and CallRecorder_v.2.4.1_alpha06.apkHi,
I just install CallRecorderROOT_v.1.0_alpha01.apk - twice, and I restart my phone ( HtC U11)
But I couldn't find this app in my drawer. Even in hide/show option. I can see it only in Manage application.
Many Thanks! now is workingYou need to install both CallRecorderROOT_v.1.0_alpha01.apk and CallRecorder_v.2.4.1_alpha06.apk
CallRecorderROOT_v.1.0_alpha01.apk unlocks the ROOT features on CR 2.4.1 alpha 06

Skvalex, I'm hoping you can do something about the persistent notification about permissions on the Pixel. Hitting "Dismiss" won't get rid of the warning. It's like Call Recorder loses the ability to see that is has the permissions already and keeps asking for them, and there's no way to clear the notification.
Hi
Today I got the attached email from Google. The app is banned from the Play Store. I sent appeal, waiting a reply from Google. Hope they'll allow to reinstate the app. I think the issue was because of linking to AlsaMixer: https://github.com/skvalex/alsamixer
If you like to purchase the app, you can do it via the site: https://callrecorder.skvalex.com/purchase?hl=en
P.S. If Google won't reinstate the app I'll do my best to keep licenses for people who already purchased the app.
P.P.S. You can install apk from the OP. The app should be able to verify the license.
EDIT:
22 May: still no reply from Google
Love your app! Purchased it 3 years ago.
Hope google reverses its decision.

A small issue...
when I connect the phone to the PC to download the recordings, they are all showing as in different folders.
earlier it was sorted as per Incoming and Out Going.
Now the calls are sorted into folders and the folder have the callers name but the file itself does not? Can you role it back to how it was earlier please? Thank u.
Phone: Redmi 3S Prime
Choose CAF. It uses root access so say yes when you get prompted by SuperSUI just wonder where is the root method. I only see these options:
No such issues with Samsung S8 (Nougat 7.0).Does anyone have any problem with wrong call duration being shown in stock dialler when using this app? For all my calls, both outgoing and incoming, there's an added 30 minutes to every call! So for a 2 minute call it shows 32 minutes!, on the stock dialler's log, the app shows correct duration though! Wondering whether this has to do anything with this app or my carrier's problem.
I have all the notifications blocked of this app, from Android system, if that matters in anything.
Phone is Pixel XL, running stock 7.1.2.
No such issues with Samsung S8 (Nougat 7.0).
You should allow all notifications from Call Recorder. It will ensure that it doesn't get killed. You shouldn't also give it Device Administrator privilege.
adb shell pm grant org.skvalex.cr android.permission.READ_LOGS
Hi Skvalex,
Let us know if you're still around and if you have any news about reinstating the app in the Google Play.
