Hello, this app is quite good!:laugh: However,when I try to play the kpcc radio on the internet, I came with a problem. I paste the URL correctly and press enter, then the app crashed:( . Can you figure out the problem and fix It ?:)

Introduction
SoundSeeder streams your music via WiFi to additional devices and turns them into wireless speakers.
All devices play your music in sync as one large sound system.
Share music with friends or use your old unused Android phones or any Windows/MacOS/Linux computer (incl Raspberry Pi) to build a wireless multiroom audio system.
SoundSeeder also supports the portable hotspot feature of Android and "WiFi direct" to connect devices wherever you want.

SoundSeeder for Android
  • The SoundSeeder Music Player is available for phones and tablets running Android 4.1+. Use it like any other audio player or connect it as speaker to another running SoundSeeder Music Player. Note: SoundSeeder is a freemium application. You can use the free version as long as you want to. It includes ad, is limited to two connected speakers and auto-disconnects speakers every 15 minutes.
  • The SoundSeeder Speaker application adds support for older smartphones (Android v2.2 – v4.0). This is a “Speaker-Only” version of SoundSeeder and can be connected to the SoundSeeder Music Player app.
SoundSeeder for Windows/Linux/MacOS
  • SoundSeeder Speaker for JavaSE is an application to connect any PC as speaker to the SoundSeeder Music Player Android app.

sorry for such a question. I am a teacher, and I have looking for an app like this one, but instead of sharing or replying music; is there an app for replaying or sharing images or videos instantly just like this app does? it is like streaming my cellphone screen to others. is it possible or is there already an app like the one I am asking for? thanks for your your support.

Hey, thanks for reporting!
The crash will be fixed in the next release, its related with the slash at the end of the link.

To listen to your station enter this link:
https://live.scpr.org
(But it is also already available in the Radio database. Look for 893 KPCC)

And one more note: You can not enter the website url directly.
You always need to search for a stream url or the link to pls file (playlist), like ins linked on the website of this station.

I read about plan for Spotify earlier in the thread. Any news about that?

The media library of soundseeder is based on the Android Mediastore which is always ignoring .nomedia folders. At the moment the only idea I have is using playlist files or using an external file browser to open the files with soundseeder.
I'll think about replacing the MediaStore by a new own implementation, then we are much more flexible...

Yes, now that the V2.0 is ready, Spotify support is the next item on my list.
Can't tell any details yet, but shouldn't take too much time... :fingers-crossed:

soundseeder supports the default equalizer of your ROM (the same like Google Music Player, Spotify and many others).
Its available via the Navigation Bar. If its not listed in the menu, then your ROM doesn't support it (like OnePlus Stock Rom for example)

Exciting to hear!

Any chance for when you add Spotify integration you can connect to the locally installed Spotify instance instead of needing to manually stream and handle your own Spotify instance (aka how AmpMe currently does it)?

Hard to say for now, I'll do my best. And the fastest way to get Spotify support in soundseeder is:
1. Join the beta test
2. Give soundseeder 5 stars on Google Play to keep the developer motivated ;)

Here is the first bugfix release for the SoundSeeder v2.0.

- Memory consumption reduced

- Change: “Record Audio” permission not required for app start anymore

Offline playback for Google Music would be technically possible, but that would quite certainly violate the service policies of google music.
So, no chance for this feature to come, sorry...

Is it possible to run soundseeder on my Fire TV Stick? Has anyone experience with this?

    SoundSeeder v1.4 - Google Music support

    Here is SoundSeeder v1.4 with fully integrated Google Music support.
    You can now import your online library into SoundSeeder and select Google Music tracks the same way like locally stored files.

    If you want to use the old (cast to SoundSeeder) feature with the Google Music Player 5.5, please don't update SoundSeeder to v1.4.

    SoundSeeder now supports 4 different media sources:
    - Locally stored music files
    - Online Radio Stations
    - Upnp/dlna network storages
    - Google Music

    Also new in v1.4:
    - Turkish localization added
    - Improved usability (UI and menus)
    - Lots of minor bugs fixed

    SoundSeeder v2.4.1

    Here is the next update for the SoundSeeder Music Player: Version 2.4.1

    This release heavily improves the app performance in speaker mode and removes several annoying bugs.
    And thanks to the awesome support of the XDA community, soundseeder is now available in 16 languages! :laugh:
