Charging USB-C tablet and phone simultaneously.
Hey guys just a heads-up. AFAIK till now there hasn't been a solution for connecting both phone and tablet through USB-C and charging both devices at the same time. I have tested this Anker hub, and it works. You gotta connect the tablet to the hub, and the phone to the USB-C receptacle (not labeled PD), then the power goes to the USB-PD. You'll have to have a high wattage USB-PD charger if you want any significant power to go to the tablet, cause the hub "reserves" about 20W for itself (it doesn't use it unless it has to), so a 30W charger should be fine. The phone gets up to 5V*1.5A which is the USB BC 1.2 standard.
This was tested with a Samsung Tab S4 on Pie, and Pixel 3 and 2XL on Android 10. One annoying thing that I wish Google would fix is that every time I plugged the tablet, F-Droid asked to be opened because of the card reader. There should be a "don't ask again" checkbox for these situations.
