I Love this project and it is about time I start using it :) just two things that don't make sense to me:

1. I first have to remove the apps that I want in black. But some of them can't be removed, I can only uninstall updates. I can use the classic version of ES File Explorer to delete system apps (phone is rooted). Just wanted to check if this is the way to go? Or should I only uninstall updates?

2. Can I still use Xposed? Because I have a few modules I definitely cannot live without like Sensify, GravityBox and one specific for Moto X 1st gen.

If you can not uninstall a user app, TBO's flashable apps often have scripts to delete the system apps assuming they are named normally, etc during the flashing process. Before deleting anything from system, have a current backup and copy the system apk to somewhere safe so you can replace it if needed or if something goes wrong.

Also, have a current Nandroid backup before flashing anything.

Xposed is the source of many problems and modifies system components in strange ways. With it installed, do not expect support.

My 2 cents. I hope it helps.

Has the tbo app been acting up for anyone else? Started today...It's making my phone freeze. I know it probably works perfectly for most people, and I'd provide a detailed log for further troubleshooting, but just wanted to ask if anyone is experiencing this all of a sudden. Nexus 6p 6.0.1

Uninstall updates our apps installed from playstore. The zips will replace system files but not data....but let's say SwiftKey came stock on your phone and we only have apk's too install no zips..then you must have root to remove the stock system version.

I just tried it, opened fine...when does this happen? During download or just opening the app?

I think I've narrowed it down to when the app auto rotates from portrait to landscape. It did open ok. Just once I rotated the phone it froze.

I can't reproduce it, can you get a log please? Please remove any Xposed, mods, themes..etc that can interfere. Thanks!

I got a freeze just now that I could reproduce multiple times. Happens every time I open app, open sliding menu, click Themed Apps, open Settings from three dot menu, scroll to bottom, back out from Settings, open sliding menu, click Themed Apps.

Not a huge deal at all for me, I wouldn't have mentioned anything if I hadn't read the post about someone else getting freezes earlier but if my experience can help make someone else's better, well isn't that what life is all about anyway?

I was only able to reproduce this once, but my thought is that it freezes BC the settings/credits activity is trying to download the team images - then it has to change directions and download the app list again. Gotta remember - there's hardly anything in the app itself. Its almost all on the server

Since you say you are using Xposed you must be rooted. Why not just use Titanium Backup? It will allow you to remove any pre-installed/system apps. It will also allow you to make a backup of any apps data so that once you install any TBO app you can then restore said apps data that you may need.

I just wanted to check if that is the way to go: be rooted and remove the apps -that you normally cannot remove- completely. I know how to do it.
(I don't need Titanium. ES File Explorer 3.2.5 can do that plus it can do everything paid file managers can do these days so I will always stick to that one. )

I'm definitely going to switch to black apps. Thanks a lot!

hangouts crashing on both my XT1575 and Nexus5. Perhaps cause I updated "Android System WebView"

Not sure if you fixed this or not, but this happened on my son's N7 yesterday. I had him download and flash the ThemeReady Hangouts 10 and it still continued. After the normal troubleshooting (removing Layers:reboot, clearing cache, downloading stock HO from APKMirror and pushing it, flashing TRHO10) he finally fixed it by clearing Data on the app. Since he is young, I have my parent account on his devices and then his own account married to that one. Had him sign into his and re-apply his layer theme and all was well.

Like I said, he's young, but I helped him over the phone and he nailed the issue before I did. Lol But ya, I'm confident in his abilities to download, boot into recovery and flash the zip or push apk and set perms; was about to have him grab a logcat if clearing data didn't work. He's 10 and his younger brother who is 8 was sitting right next to him playing Destiny and laying waste on all who defy him.

Might be tied to WebView update. I have one device that I've updated it and one that I haven't, so I'll check those out tonight when I get home. My youngest son has not updated his WebView yet and is on TRHO8.1, so I might be able to induce this again and capture a log. We'll have to see.

Haha. Touche'

Two of my favorite few lines I still use to this day are, "It's all ball bearings these day." and when we are out to dinner, I ask to charge it to the Underhill Account. No one gets it, but I laugh on the inside.

Team Black Out is a team of both veteran app "Inverters" and new-comers that want to learn. With over A lot of popular Blacked Out and Transparent Android apps in our list, we are sure to not only amaze you but to guarantee once you use our Themed Apps you'll Black Out for a while.. The Team isn't doing ROMS though. We are simply combining the great minds of some of the Best in the Business when it comes to making apps Blacked Out or Transparent. We have only a few team members now because some are planning on being lightly active, so if you're already into doing Blacked Out apps, hit us up if you wanna join. We don't want to train people from the ground up but you don't have to be the best either. We will are hosting guides on this site to help walk people through the process of Inverted Apps...

    T-BOTS.png

T-BOTs are the Team Black Out Testers. When we update an app or start a new one from scratch, we can put anywhere from 20 minutes to 10 hours into 1 app for all of you and then testing that app can take 10-60 minutes and we don't use every app we Black Out so we're bound to miss some hidden things. Well, this is where our Loyal T-BOTs come into play. Once we update an app they get busy looking for issues for us. This gives us more time to be able to update more apps, start new apps or just have some non-android fun. So make sure you thank the T-BOTs when you get blown away from how amazing these apps are!

Obviously this style is the most popular. We don't theme our apps with images but rather Invert the Colors so you'll have Dark backgrounds and Light texts. This is very popular and has become something that many avid Android users have come to thoroughly enjoy so we will do our best to give you more of what you love!

    Transparent.png

Transparent apps have become more popular the last year or so and some members of the Team have been offering them for a while now. Our transparent series of apps are called Clear Apps. Being able to see your wallpaper while you're using your favorite apps is just cool! We'll be offering our own wallpapers soon for you to use!

Ok kids... click on "Welcome to the Dark Side" at the top and it will take you to our official Team Black Out website! All downloads are hosted there only to keep track of everything. If you've used any of our apps in the past in your Aroma installers or in your ROM, you can still use them. Link back to our SITE wherever you post our content tho. Do not post something in a different forum using our work and then PM us to let us know and hope it's ok with us.... It isn't. Ask first and we'll work with you but ask for forgiveness and we have a problem.

    Thanks
