dont see recovery and boot logo

i installed recovery but cant see anything (it keep dark)
also no boot animation i tried this guide
MihanickX's method of emergency flashing
but dindt work how to fix this i want boot logo and recovery!

but this is a forum so ''we'' suppost to help ppl i helped alot ppl with my writen app in dos it makes things alot easyer no one ask for it but i just help without a reason

I will help.

Take the battery out.

Put the battery back in.

Press and hold the Home button and power on.

Hold the Home button until the recovery appears, then you can let go.

If you flash fastboot/recovery 2.1 directly from 1.6 there is no boot anim/recovery screen. Flash an official 2.1 first, power on, do a factory default, click over the setup wizard. You can flash then any 2.1 rom with/without fastboot/recovery, boot anim will be ok.
For restoring boot anim there is a solution, bit risky but worked for some.
I will translate from original hungarian forum in the next post.

Restore missing boot anim and recovery screen

WARNING!
Dangerous process! You can brick your phone!

Take out battery/sim/sd
Start flashing with open europe v10c rom
Will stop at 4% with an error, no logo, stucked in download mode.

Pull out USB cable and pop in the battery (but no sd/sim).
Switch on phone with volume down+power until it vibrates.
With internet connection on pc, plug in usb cable.
If windows detect new devices let them install.
Open device manager and disable LGE Android USB Modem.
Flash factory baltic v20b the usual way.
Flash process will be slow, % indicator does not move!
Flash will be complete when the phone reboots with bootlogo/anim

Do a factory reset and ready!

1.6 open europe v10c:

I have a similar problem, i have flashed from 1.6 to 2.1 europe + fastboot, and i cant see nothing. When the phone turn off the screen and I click in a button, it sometimes appear image. I reset it several times and install other roms, but nothing.

Hi there,

I have a GT540 that lost its boot logo animation while upgrading from 1.6 to 2.1 the 1st time. Since I tried a lot a reflashes to different 2.1 flavours, but none restored my bootup anim.

I tried to follow this post's indications but never could flash any part of 1.6 back into my phone ; KDZ updater bails out immediately in error. Also I never saw any kind of percentage indication or progress bar in KDZ updater, so I'm wondering, are you using another flashing tool ??

Same problem here, and I found that there's no bootanim.zip in the usual places where it should be.

If you put a bootanimation to the /system/media or /data/local does not solve the problem .You will be able to play it from adb console but will not work if you boot the phone. Replacing the whole boot partition also does not solve the problem. You are on a wrong way. I think the splash partition should be replaced .

After flashing out.kdz i cs_emergency i can see "fastboot mode" and "Download mode" on my screen but still no LG logo :/. Recovery isn't working with this version o rom:/ I need to get image of flash block from working phone (cat /dev/mtd/mtd3 > /sdcard/mtd3.img) to make small compare. It will be nice if it will have 393*216 bytes long like in my flash:
