[ROM][DISCONTINUED] Nova 2.2 v8 (w/ quasar, oc support & more)

Nova (click it for trivia!) is a ROM for Optimus Black which aims to replace the stock ROM and give you what stock doesn't: minimalism and speed. Any LG and OEM trace has been reduced to a minimum and it has been significantly improved and optimized while keeping the most bugfree as possible. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I have coming up with it.​

Partitions upgraded to EXT4 without journalism
OC + UV by default

Installation

A wipe is required when first flashing Nova, however, unless otherwise stated, no wipe is needed to upgrade between versions.

1. Download nova-xxx.zip to your sdcard storage on your OB
2. [Optional] Check nova-xxx.zip's Md5 to check if your download copy is corrupted
3. Boot into CWM Recovery through whatever method you choose (anreboot, terminal, ...)
4. [First flash only] Use the volume keys and power button to select Wipe Data
5. Select Install Zip from SD Card
6. Find the nova-xxx.zip file you downloaded earlier
7. Scroll through all the No's and hit Yes, install nova-xxx.zip
8. Wait for the installation to finish
9. Select Reboot
10. After the long initial reboot, reboot a second time and you're all set

Quick guidelines:

- If UI is very slow after 2 minutes, reflash. If home button doesn't work, reflash.
- Remember to reboot after the first long boot (applies some tweaks).
- Check "known issues" and "FAQ" before posting.

Theme Chooser improved and now displays a progress bar while download
Default wallpaper moved to microSD card so you can choose it back
BPO and BMR scripts transformed into running service to ensure max efficacy
Fixed issue of not being able to set a governor on boot - now works on nova script! Default: Minmax
Added developer2user interface (d2u) feature - automatically checks for new nova/theme updates or messages
Added in misc options of nova script the possibility to disable d2u and BPO

Removed zeam launcher (was consuming too much battery) and added again AOSP 2.3 launcher
Fixed powermenu when changing back to stock LG theme

Setting custom voltages fixed (big thanks to Huexxx)
- should decrease battery consumption
- default UV @ low voltage preset
- careful with this playing with voltages, if phone is slowish, it's because they are set too low
Updated theme chooser in Nova Script (now checks for theme's latest version and if needed updates it!)

Added "Boost standby battery tweak" in misc options @ Nova Script (experimental) - major undervolt on minimum frequency; best used along with a governor like minmax or interactiveX.

FAQ

Q. If I flash a firmware after flashing Nova, I can't install applications! why?

Q. I miss some stock applications, how can I have them back?
A. Use Application Injector in Nova Script (terminal app > 'su' > 'nova')

Q. I'm getting problems with superuser (root) and reboot doesn't fix it, help!

Q. It seems it's a bit laggy sometimes, what can I do to improve this?
A. You might want to try disable BPO and d2u in misc options @ nova script to see if it solves your problem. Also keep in mind that if you have too low voltages for the frequencies, one of the most evident signs will be lag.

Q. I'm having problems with market! Errors and what nots. Why?
A. Reboot. Didn't work? Clear its data in settings. Didn't work? Reflash and sign in google acount before running market.

So you would have a save recovery if the rom is "basically" working.

Easier said than done but I'll look into it.
It can't be in the system but it might be possible on the ramdisk.
