SlimLP is great, but it isn't for carrier version of the tab 2. It must be a P5110, P5113, P5100, P3110, P3113, or P3100. I don't believe the Verizon version is one of those.

Hey! thanks for responding. Well this is a galazy tab 2 forum so I thought it would known that i was referring to this gen model. The specific one I will get is a 10.1 inch galaxy tab 2
Tab 2 has also several 7" variants

If you read my post , i dont have one yet, that is why i was asking because i was going to get a agalaxy tab 2 10 inch. Didnt know they had serval variations but if they do which on eshould I get?
Get an international model, not by an US carrier.
Make a big turn around them as their bootloaders are locked.
International models:
P5110 and 5113 are WiFi, P5100 is GSM+WiFi

Yes, IMHO it is really a good device, but I find that it rocks only with custom ROMs.
US models are also described as "Tab 2", but no modifications can be done there.

ICS stock? I am sure that you can design it that way with some of numerous Xposed module

Custom ROMs can be installed on the US Tab 2 (GT-P3113). It is only the carrier versions that do not have custom ROMs. The P3113 and P3100 for USA have custom ROMs.
I figured it was stock ICS. Think I saw it as an option in Paranoid Android?
Not too sure what Xposed modules are. Not extremely tech savvy in developing, but I'm known to tinker well.
If u want kitkat go on with iderhd v5 viper and if u want on jelly bean go on with sshd v7 i think these r better

P3113 was sold all over USA. They were very popular over here. I have one
You could walk into any Best Buy, Office Depot/Max, Staples, Walmart, etc. and buy one, or purchase on Amazon or Samsung.com. Now that Tab 3 and 4 are out, you can't find them except refurbished.

Why have there been exactly zero official releases of Cyanogenmod since 10.1.3? No 10.2.*, no 11-M*, nothing for almost eighteen months now.
And the (obvious) followup question - will there be any official releases of Cyanogenmod 12?

With a bit of regret, I have to bid farewell to my Tab 2, and with it, to this great community... After buying the Asus Memo Pad HD 7, I am putting my Tab 2 up for sale on Craigslist.
I had a great time with this little tablet! Just wanted to say big THANK YOU to all the people who helped me along the way. Special thanks to @ketut.kumajaya and @Tsjoklat for their wonderful work on kernels and ROMs, to @Luigi2012SM64DS and @mitchellreece for a lot of useful info. Of course, not to forget folks like @Chainfire and @Phil3759, but that goes even without saying.

So go to there and press backup.
U need to have atleast 2.5 GB of space.
This is important as sometimes if u mess some things up and your tablet wont boot into your rom then this backup will come into help as u can always go into Recovery no matter what.3
If u have a cm10.1 , you must be having a custom recovery too.
And so you can install xposed well and good.
Get xposed installer from play store, install it and reboot.
And then download modules from inside xposed installer app.
If your phone doesnt boots up, then flash the zip xposed disabler from your sdcard.
The zip will be made once u click on install xposed.
