MY GALAXY CHAT IS NT WORKING SO I CANT MAKE ROM FURTHER MORE SO IF ANYONE WANT TO CONTINUE THIS ROM PROJECT , HE / SHE CAN CONTINUE IT :)​

Tested on B5330DDMA1 but should work on all firmware
All Problems in Build 1 , Build 1.1 and Build 1.2 will be fixed soon

Build 1 :
  • Xperia T Launcher
  • Xperia T Wallpapers
  • Xperia Like Status Bar Icons

Build 1.1 :
  • Xperia Notification Sound and Ringtones (Sorry Forget to Include this in Build 1)
  • Xperia Z Launcher
  • Xperia Z Widgets
  • Xperia Z Notes / Memo App
  • Xperia Z Wallpapers (Now Included In Rom)
  • Xperia S ICS Keyboard

Build 1.2 :
  • Google Now (With Voice Search Working)
  • Sony Xperia Apps Currently Ported :
    • Calculator
    • Album / Gallery (Fixed Some Errors)
    • Xperia Wallkman™
  • Sony Xperia ICS Font
  • Some Build.prop Tweaks

Build 1.3 (Alpha 1) [Flash this after flashing Build 1.2 or you will get FC's] :
  • Some Minor Framework-res Tweak
  • ....More Features Coming Soon

Fixes (Temporary) :

1) After Installing Build 1.2 , to enable Google Now we need to set permissions :

  • Install Root Explorer from Here
  • Open Root Explorer
  • Move into /system/app and delete GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk or rename it to GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk.bak
  • Move into /system/app and scroll down to find GoogleTTS.apk.
  • Long press GoogleTTS.apk and select "Permissions".
  • Change the permissions to rw-r-r.
  • Scroll down and find Velvet.apk.
  • Long press Velvet.apk and select "Permissions".
  • Change the permissions to rw-r-r.
  • Navigate to /system/usr/srec/ and find two folders named "config" and "en-US"
  • Tap and hold on the "config" folder and select Permissions and Check with this pic if the Check Marks Match.
  • Tap and hold on the "en-US folder and select Permissions and Check with this pic if the Check Marks Match.
  • Then Reboot

Now Google Now would work

2) If Visualiser force Closes , Open Root Explorer and go to /system/app/SemcMusicVisualizer.apk and re-Install it . Problem will be Solved
3) If Album force Closes , Open Root Explorer and go to /system/app/SemcAlbum.apk and re-Install it . Problem will be Solved

backup nandroid

(Q) I think i have backed up of my galaxy chat nandroid. But i'm not sure about it. Now i get 5 things they are : cache.ext4.tar, data.ext4.tar, efs.ext4.tar, nandroid.ext4.tar, and system.ext4.tar. Are they the true components from backing of up my nandroid?:confused:

oh sorry dude, but where i can find it? i have already extract it. sorry i'm not developer just a good reader...:victory:

as far i know it only can be found if i create an update.zip(a general way to root an android device). if you mean that i can create it from my current device.

    Is there a way to change the lcd density of the phone after using it! I have tried it using the apps in the play store and all my tries have gone in vein!

    And by the way porting the beats sound engine and the bravia engine for our galaxy chat would make it complete! And also a kernel so that we can overclock this to 1ghz because the processors used in sgc and sgy are both 1ghz underclocked to 850mhz

    And also giving it a NAME and also boot screen logo and animation!!! How about all of us join hands together and make the best out of this device! We already have brilliant sources! It's a just that we need to port all of them.for our device! We can even seek help from cyanogenmod or aokp

    Now I have branded rom 4.04 and want to flash no branded rom from samsung-updates.com
    do I need pit , modem files ? or only rom ? if yes where can I find it ? How should I do it using odin (reboot , re-partting )?
