actually is was referring sea15 baseband in different rom.....so if i flash it to other french rom which should be selected then ??

right now there isn't a "indian" baseband. Probably you'll have to select one from your region, like Taiwan or similar. Before you flash, grab the baseband from your indian rom, zip it, and post it here. I can do a file compare to which baseband it'll match, or if it's a complete different. You'll find the baseband files under /system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default

Hi,

I have emailed u the Indian baseband files from , the file_GPRS, GSM, Logger, SEEM_Flex_Tables, UMA etc are the ones which should be critical.

For some reason I changed to v4 and now it leaves my phone completely without any signal when applying Argentina (personal) baseband. I tried using one of China's basebands since they are pretty much alike the one I need and it works perfectly as it used to do in v3.1.
Can this be fixed by you or this is just a translation project? Just reporting in case something might be worked out...

Somewhere
I think I would choose a Central Europe Type...
probably 34.155.2... this is the same I use here in germany.

How do you get or extract those basebands? Please, can you explain it to me? because if i want to use another rom, i need to change de baseband to china ME 850/1900/2100 and it's not stable with me, it screws my gps... so i realy want extact the baseband from my original rom, or maybe, if you can extract the baseband from this sbf file... JORLA_U3_3.4.2_107-9_SIGNED_USAJORDMR1B25MSTLALA019.0R_JORLAFROMOVLALA_P017_A008_M009_HWp3_Service1FF

This sbf was the only one which works with my carrier tigo :S.

You need to flash this SBF and copy the files. You'll find the baseband files under /system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default .

Good luck

HOT question for Russian user's located in Russian Federation.

Which baseband you use with your Defy for most compatibility and right battery usage?
With MTS, Megafon or Beeline, anyway.

I think my battery fast discharging issue is in a wrong baseband using...

Thanks for all!

Same issue here...this can make my battery drain to fast?...(I mean use other baseband)

Edit: just install the 3.1 version and work

Back from wakation:

I used YAFFS for my Defy, as it can have root access. Other filemanagers: root explorer or supermanager

Sqoerk, have you received my PM with the translations ?

Yes... And i'll integrate it as fast as possible :)

does switching baseband helps in conserving battery life?

Sometimes it can help, but mostly you have to try on your own.

All others, I'll review your questions and will have a look what I can do

I compared those 2 "new" Argentinian with the old one. They are completly different, as the "old" one is from a milestone 2. So it should be intigrated as a 3rd one :D

Will try today if I can do this, but I can't promise, as I don't own the sources of this tool :(

Edit: It is possible. Next version will include the other Argentinia Baseband and this indian.

I can post them, but they are exactly the as the ones Baseband Switcher install if you select the "Cental Europe" baseband, I don't see the point, I compared the md5sums.
