thanks, I will try tomorrow, but what difference is between the two?
Stock=stock, modules=tweaked kernel from another than ViperX itself.

---------- Post added at 01:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:07 AM ----------

A minute ago i want to edit something in my contactpersonlist, but the button "edit" (in my language it is"bewerken") is gone? I cant change anything? Huh? Bug?

I have a fresh clean install of 3.3.6. and no mods or other kernels and default theme.

By the way, i have tryed the venom red theme, the weatherapp become black and grey instead of colored. When use default theme, the weatherapp works fine. It is a bug too?

I guess you downloaded the full Rom, not ota. Try to redownload it.

I wonder could someone shed some light for me. When I rotate phone to landscape the homepage becomes distorted (background images etc) but the apps and every other page are fine

I know this isn't affecting others, so was curious to find out why it's affecting me

EDIT - Attached screenshot

EDIT 2 - It appears it's the 3rd party app I was using in homescreen.....it doesn't rotate/scale correctly. Oh well

Can someone confirm that the edit is gone? And also confirm the weatherapp become black/white when using red venom theme?

Cannot confirm missing "edit" button. Are we talking about the "People" application? If so, yep cannot confirm.

Thnxs for confirming. The edit is back. Dont know what happened. I have take a reboot today, maybe that was the solution.

The black/white weatherwidget problem with the red venom theme stay. Even when i do a reboot after setting red venom as default theme.

See this for a example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ob2a337vzax3qan/2013-02-13 14.20.38.png

Re: [INFO][BUG][GUIDE] Q&A ViperX

Is it maybe a good idea to make a mod, like go launcher to swipe bottom bar and create 8 more icons swiping left and right ,just thinking.....

Don't know for sure and/or the exact values. But common sense tells me, default is obviously the stock values of when to dim, brighten and turn off the lights, by the light sensor values, and automatic I would guess means as soon as you go into dark, it goes light and vica versa. Instead of waiting for a certain value.

Again, not 100%.

Sent from my HTC One X

did some testing with the automatic setting. It seems like its working like you said, When the light value changes you can see it is switching in some way. However the brightness looks exactly the same as before that switch.
I keep it default for now..

Re: [INFO][BUG][GUIDE] Q&A ViperX

Hope you guys have been using the bug report feature in tweaks. Very handy!

Just don't use it when your microwave blows up, we're not responsible for that! :D

It is better to ask here first if it is really a bug ;)

No one confirms the blackwhite weather widget in redvenomtheme. (see one page back)

Yes, unless it's the same bug being asked over and over again! :D

Not sure about the theme question, but you could also try posting in the theme thread.

Re: [INFO][BUG][GUIDE] Q&A ViperX

Read this article :)
And read: "802.11n" section :)

I know what it is 802.11n but what I don't understand it is why is disabled by operator (ex. Orange, Vodafone) and with the setting activated or not I cannot see any difference in speed. I have an Asus rt-n16 so it is no problem from router.

How to customize ViperX with tweaks!

    About

Shows links to the main developers and their Profiles, also their donate link.
Shows a link to various Social Sites to stay up to date with Venom.
Shows a link to the “Profiles” Function at the Bottom.
Profiles can be saved after you have set up your Venom ROM and can be used to later restore all your tweaks automatically if you happen to reflash your ROM.
The Profile will be saved as “1.xml” (for first Profile) to the folder \sdcard\Venom\Profiles

    Statusbar

    1) “Hide quick Settings”

The ROM has Quick Settings enabled by default (Pull-Down Menu, Settings Tab). You can disable them here.

    Fixing/Optimizing

    1) “Fix Permissions”

Runs a command that corrects all file permissions in Android. Can also cause trouble but usually it helps with issues.

    2) “Zipalign all APK’S”

Runs the “zipalign” process on all user apk’s. This can be handy as not all App Devs do a zipalign and that makes the APK behave bad on memory. Zipaligning them can make them run better in memory.

    System

    1) “Mount Sytem r/w”

Mounts the System with Read and Write permissions for file browsers. This can potentially be dangerous because malware could abuse that but on the other hand, its helpful too if you like messing with your system and malware could also execute this command anyway, since you already run the device as root user.

    2) “Disable Logcat”

Disables the logcat of the system. Makes it a little faster and use a wee bit less juice but you won’t be able to provide your Dev with a LogCat if you have problems. These logs are incredibly helpful for debugging. So just try it out if it betters anything for you.

    Wipes

    1) “Wipe Cache”

As the name suggests, this wipes the cache partition. Saves you a reboot into recovery.

    2) “Wipe Dalvik Cache”

    See above!

    Font

    1) "Use custom font"

Install a custom font pack (this option was enabled when you downloaded a font from HUB)

    Boot

    1) “Custom boot animation”

Lets you pick a custom bootanimation. Those can also be obtained via the Hub for example.

    2) “Custom Down Animation”

Same as above for down animation.

    3) “Enable Boot sound”

    4) "Custom boot sound"

    CPU

Apply settings on boot (Automatically applies CPU and file system settings on phone boot includes boot-loop protection

    File System

    1) "I/O Scheduler

You can choise your preferred I/O (ex noop) [at the moment, there is only noop because htc hasn't relase source code yet

    CPU/Kernel Settings

    1) "CPU Governor"

You can choise your preferred Governor (ex. ondemand, powersave, etc)

    2-3) "CPU Min/Max Frequency"

You can choise your preferred CPU's frequency

    4) "CPU Screen off max"
