Cab you get the following? This is from the theme Elemente.. I like the keys and want to use them without the theme.

help?

Would somebody be so kind as to guide in something? I understand the concept of the instructions but my problem is w the execution. Im running PA3+ and have downloaded the correct file. Im trying to use es file explorer. But i can only view the systemui apk. When i "extract" it then i can insert the images. But the apk is broken down. How do i make it a whole apk again? Or am i misunderstanding? Pls and thank you for any clarification.

Sorry, i haven't found anything via google and co. How can i make the softkey bar and its icons smaller? I know it somehow works with paranoid android. I'm running CM10, is there any way to change the size of the softkeys?

You can do it manually by editing some XML. It requires decompiling the APKs but it's not really some that's easy unless you know what you're doing. Otherwise just check the ROM features. Atticus' images will scale when you make it smaller.

I used this method but had a highlight malfunction. It worked fine on CM10.1 but always the same problem for me on PA 3.0

isn't there an easier way? I see this way too often in the "post your homescreen" threads to be that hard to archive.

Just copy your systemui.apk to computer, open it with WinRar. Then copy and paste (ctrl + c then ctrl + v) all the images downloaded from the OP into that systemui.apk (res/xhdpi). Next, transfer the modified systemui.apk to your phone. Use Root Explorer to place it in system/app (remember to mount r/w, otherwise it will tell you that folder is read-only). The phone will soft reboot. Then you're done. This method is much quicker and simpler than others. I've done it and successfully have Rarz softkeys.

Yes you can. Just select individual softkeys based on your preferences. Then do the method I wrote above. Hope it's comprehensive enough.

Hey, i´m trying to flash a set of Softkeys.

I´m using a theme that comes as an apk not in .zip format.

Is there any way I can flash the Softkeys OVER the Softkeys that come with the theme?

If you're using xylon rom, you can change icons very easily. Just unpack the zips, and under the rom settings, navbar settings you can replace images individually by clicking on the picture of each icon.

For the ones who are having problems on paranoid android try this

1. Make a backup.. you never know

2. Pull "SystemUI.apk" from "/system/app/"

3. Download flashable version of zenyth keys

4. Open "Zenyth - ICS Blue - Flashable - v3.zip" (Or w/e version)

5. Go to "vrtheme\system\app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-xhdpi" and extract all images from there to some folder

6. Open the folder where the image files are put

7. Open "SystemUI.apk" with some file extractor (i used winrar)

8. Navigate to "\res". you will find three "drawable"-folders ending with "xhdpi"

--> sw600dp: phablet

--> sw720dp: tablet

--> just drawable: phone

9. Put the extracted images in the corresponding folders

10. I hope you made a backup! i am not to blame for any fail

10. Close, push "SystemUI.apk" back to "/system/app/"

11. Pray and Reboot

hi, ive just managed to get this to work playing around myself. on paranoid android 3. guys when you extract the systemui.apk and replace the images you must select the option to rezip or zip the systemui folder you get in your file manager (in my case root explorer) and then RENAME your systemui.zip to SYSTEMUI.APK and reboot. this works with latest 24 feb build of paranoidandroid 3. i know people have been asking about this. BTW this will not work with a theme installed on paranoidandroid 3 as the theme will overwrite the system images. will only work on stock theme. if OP sees this, i thank you for providing the steps for installing on PA3 but i think it would stop the confusion if you add the step "rename systemui.zip to systemui.apk" to your guide. only a suggestion and i am really grateful for the work youve put in
