Update: Please use the ray-urushi version for xperia ray as it semms to have changed LED colors when using my mod

Hey XDA users,

I present you my first mod for our device. I made 3 CWM flashable zip packages that change the brightness of your Notification LED. I think this is a useful Tweak so i wanted to share it with you.

Just click on the picture(picture shows .587/.13 but works on all sony based ICS and GB) to see the 3 options and flash the one you want in CWM:

inc1.jpg

I´m not responsible for any damage. Take a nandroid before using!
This Mod works on all Sony based GB and ICS ROMs for all Xperia 2011 Series

There is absolutely no risk for your LED on Xperia 2011 Phones but don´t test it yourself on other devices you may damage your LED if you do this!!
If you want this mod for another device, i recommend following tutorial which will work on all phones:

Update
v2:
- changed Text shown in CWM a bit
- ZIPs now work for GB and ICS
- nothing more no need to reflash if you have v1

Re: [MOD][ICS .587/.13] Increase Notification LED brightness - flashable zip

Is dangerous for the led the increment of brightess?

Joder, pues ahora no se me ocurre nada original para poner...

That's my main concern as well. Will ultra bright damage the led in any way over time?

Clearly no. CM10 uses the value from ultrabright package and i was using cm10 for a year now. The LED is rated much higher than the sony ROM uses it. And if it was dangerous, i had told you in the OP ;)

Ultra high Working OK on MK16a, de-odexed but otherwise stock ICS (.587)
:good:

(I have no photos but I think it's still not as bright as AOKP ROMs with the "LASER beam" brightness)

Hmm maybe it could work even for all android devices have to check that.

EDIT: Don´t recommend using this on other devices as Xperia Arc/S or Xperia Pro because i don´t know the LED ratings of them

Will update the OP with all advices and pictures in 15 minutes because my camera battery is empty :D

EDIT EDIT: Updated OP with a picture and made it "cleaner" :p

Re: [MOD][Stock based GB/ICS]Increase Notification LED brightness v2

will it work on stock xperia u ..?
Could you try to make this for Xperia T? Our Notification LED is very poor. For Stock JB ROM´s.
Please check if it will work on the 2012 Xperia Line like the Xperia U

Read this thread....

If your phone has the file you can use init.d to mod stock firmware.
My Ions notification led & button leds are set @ 20000 max current.
Also may work for notification bar, if you know what file.(ions dont have the bar so I am not sure)

is this for gb too. i want it for gb too
I checked it. It needs some rework for so i think it won´t work on GB.
Just tell me which GB Rom you are using and i will make a package for GB
