I've read that if you freeze certain apps,you can update while rooted. Can anybody please help me?
sorry I should have been more specific. I know if you get the AT&T stock update,it will not update if rooted. If you are rooted you can't update. its10p update right?
as far as I know an update won't work unless your completely stock but I don't know the workaround to keep root even if there is one. and I don't think 10p is rootable at the moment, could be wrong tho.

in another thread I read someone had purchased the phone with 10p already installed.. in order for them to get root they have to return to stock with 10g or 10k
SuperSU has an OTA survival mode that worked for me when I tried the update. I don't remember if it's included in the free version, though. There's also Voodoo that worked the last time I tried it on my E970.
