So sad! I am using rom 4.42 9005 Omega for my SM-N900s, so when i flashed the new 5.0, the UI has stopped.

Does this update need a full wipe? Should it be installed using Odin or kies?

Odin. U should full wipe. I dont wipe because I juz update the baseband and BL 5.0

And is it possible to backup and restore everything using kies? (sorry I'm a noob with Samsung as I just had a rooted s2)

I dont use kies mate. So I dont know, sorry. Root and use custom rom mate, its so amazing, dont be afraid.

how to update bootloader and baseband for N900K?

I flashed the Lollipop update, everything was successful.

but my bootloader and baseband is still
N900KKKUFNI1 (baseband)
N900KKKUFNF3 (baseband)

is it supposed to be different after flashing?

I'm on Aryamod ROM now.. but I flashed aryamod after flashing the official Lollipop.
can anyone provide me with the latest bootloader+baseband only for N900K? not the whole firmware. thanks

If you stucked, untick auto reboot on odin
and try reflashing modem only and reconnecting your phone about 3~4 times
and reboot into system manually
and reboot into download mode
and tick auto reboot on odin
and reflash modem again
and reboot into system automatically.

it's not stuck.

the flashing was successful, and it says PASS. and the system booted into Lollipop.. but the baseband and bootloader remains the same.

The baseband and bootloader did not get updated..

I will try to not tick auto reboot

I have same your problem.

Resovled by
1. Power off my note
2. Remove bettery 5 sec.
3. Boot to download mode
4. Flash bl + cp via odin again
5. Successe.
