Why not for the galaxy? The galaxy S is the I9000...
Ok, the russian link is wrong, delete it, but the other JG6 points to I9000 which is the Galaxy S

here is some of samsung firmware tweet :

@SamsungFirmware it is EU one. No idea why JM instead of JG... PDA is JM1, previous was JG6. Modem is JG6, with most of fixes there.

Since we are discussing firmware, what is "I9000BUJF5" found here: http://samsung-firmware.webs.com/WEBPROTECT-samsungi9000.htm

According to the color code, it's not Europe, Asia, or Africa. It says "Specials Firmwares are Provider firmwares!" What's so special about it?

First post is pointing to a i9000 firmware so it's possible but I'm not flashing a firmware I know nothing about.
