Greetings all.
I rooted my sgn2 using the toolkit and installed TWRP.
Then proceeded to install Omega rom.
In TWRP, I wiped cache dalvik syetem, factory reset.

I now have my IMEI as unknown and I do not have a efs backup. Is there a way to restore my imei/efs partition? I have searched all of xda without a resolution. I seriously wished I backed up my efs partition.

Please let me know if there is anything I could do.
Thank you,
William

Turn around...
I think you'll have to take in for service for a fix. Warranty?
But yes, for all the new flashers out their, remember to backup your efs before modding your phone.

Downloaded stock bloated tmomo rom
http://androtransfer.com/?developer=cmenard&folder=SGH-T889

download tmomo t889 modem
http://androtransfer.com/?developer=cmenard&folder=SGH-T889

copy both files onto ext sdcard
boot into CWM
full wipe
flash the tmomo stock rom
DO NOT REBOOT.
flash modem file.
reboot. good to go.

PS: TWRP caused this issue and I removed and flash with CWM.

That was your problem. Thats the international phone which only has support for 3g.

Oh my please help me, I'm a noob. I tried the first links for the ROM and the modem but they're not working. So o tried the second ones. I see the dloads on the phones card but I don't see them when I put the phone into download mode. I got the same exact problems this post describes. What am I doing wrong.

Im facing this error right now.

Hi all,

i've search and tried most of the methods on threads with similar issue but to no avail.
So i'm posting my situation here hoping someone with the expertise can help me.

My IMEI became null/null after flashing Criskelo rom. I had previously saved a copy of my efs.img on my PC.
When restoring my EFS backup, it says "/dev/block/mmcblk0p3: write error: No space left on device"

So i used Odin, flash a stock ROM with pit, bootloader, pda, phone and csc.
The flashing was successful with no errors but stuck samsung logo for as long as i can wait.

I then booted to stock recovery and notice it says "E: failed to mount /efs (invalid argument)"
so i did a wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition.
Reboot. Still stuck at Samsung logo.

I tried to sideload my efs.img but there is a "E: signature not verified" error

So i thought what the heck and flashed Chenglu's CWM via Odin. Phone successfully boot to CWM
i wiped data/factory reset, cache and dalvik. Reboot and still stuck at Samsung logo.
I then tried flashing CF-Autoroot, it was ok as well with no issues but stuck at Samsung logo again.

Rebooted back to CWM, Tried to mount efs, got an error saying error mounting efs
i flashed various stock rom via Odin, all process PASS with green but mostly stucked at samsung logo...

is my device soft bricked? or is my sd card is dead? or is my efs partition fried?
anyone kind enough to share his complete backup file? my country sells the n7105.
i bought the export n7100 instead so its kinda hard for me to find a friend with the same fone.

i have been flashing roms since the good old Galaxy S and this is the 1st time i cannot revive my phone from past experience...

and flashing original firmware with odin isn't helping, I keep getting stuck at samsung logo.

This is my efs file while I backed up while flashing omega rom.

Any advice would be grateful. :crying:

Thanks OP I flashed N7100's ROM and lost my IMEI as well. I recovered using this method.

Thanks for posting those links. I was stressing there for a while.

Now this may be a stupid question is there a USA T-Mobile friendly ROM out there? I'm coming from a Galaxy Nexus running a nightly of CM 10.1, and the stock ROM is driving me nuts.

Life Saver!

That could be it.
I installed a rom from the forum below.

My phone is from tmobile. I was not aware they had a seperate section for "t-mobile samsung galaxy note II"

I installed the Android Revolution Hd 8.0 without backing up my EFS. After searching all day....it worked PERFECTLY! Thank You!, Thank You!
