Thanks Miro - will give it another try (by the way, I wasn't trying to suggest it was the ROM, I was thinking it was something to do with USB drivers, but lacked the knowledgle)
miro, contable.
when's the next release???
i'm having flashing withdrawal symptoms XD
Really grateful for the extra hints.
The hard part was figuring out how to overwrite the rapi.dll due to security permissions in Windows 7. I needed to change the ownership of the file from the file properties.
This link was really useful to work out what was preventing me renaming the old rapi.dll file and copying the new one in place -

(Maybe that link could be added to the 3 step guide, for Windows 7 64 bit users?)
Once that was in place - took less than 5 minutes to install MAGLDR again, and flash to the latest mi7ROM

Hi there,
Using the guide the Miro very helpfully put up, I installed the drivers (and then also did additional research to see that I should ensure I have the Win 7 64 bit drivers).
I successfully installed MAGLDR, and am in the MAGLDR mode on my Omnia 7.
I am running the DFT_WPI_SAM1.exe file (the folder contains this, OS.D000FF, rapitool.exe and readme.txt).
However, during the "Connect" stage of the install, I am receiving the following error:
[Error Description]:
Please make sure that your device is connected to your computer.
also make sure that right drivers are installed (Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center)
Try to connect device to different USB port and also you can try to reboot PC.
Also you can try to exclude USB hubs.
[Info]: USBWorkDWPI.cpp (136)
I have rebooted my PC, and ensured I am directly connected to the PC USB port (not via a HUB).
I have got WMDC installed, and both versions of USB drivers.
Where can I be going wrong?
Thanks in advance
I've just noticed that in my Control Panel > Devices and Printers screen there are 2 Unspecified devices:
MAGLDR and "Unknown Device"
Is this related to the problem, I wonder?
Why you would reinstall? Yes it is possible if you go and flash stockrom !
My question: How can i update the mango 8107 rom 1.3b to the tango update?
and is the 12.12.2 the tango firmware?
Is normal update via zune possible?
thx

Exactly! But I didn't install any update, I have just recieved a notification when I connected my phone with laptop.
ahhh, ok. ....normally you can try it. but, maybe you will get a update error (if my mi7ROM 8107 has some update file conflicts....but backup your actual 8701 ROM before ...
