This tread is a guide to fix some bugs on stock 4.3 firmware without root
As I assume you haven't root, not all bugs can be fixed.
These are some bugs I have seem here since 0.295, I'm not sure if they have been fixed
Q: Power off when charging
A: Install safe charge https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sash.sodeliminator
Q: 'Blue flickering' in movie app
A: 'Hide recent videos' in movie app setting
Q: ''Blue flickering' in other apps (e.g. playing video from facebook app)
A: Enable/Check 'Disable HW overlays' in Developer options
Q: Sound comes out from speaker when you receive a call
A: Disable chrome browser (you may install chrome beta, it does not cause the problem)
Q: Volume panel error
A: reboot, or choose stock themes
Q: No NFC icon on notification bar
A: It is removed in some firmware, Hong Kong, Taiwan firmware still have it
I guess Sony remove it to discourage to turn it off, as it costs nearly no battery
Q: No headset icon
A: Yes, it is gone

About email
If you have problem with email sync (e.g. no push notification or cannot load older mails)
Remove the email account first, do not add it through the app
Go to Settings>Account>Add account in Exchange ActiveSync
mails can be sync and load perfectly
