[Tutorial] WM6.5 FULLY TRANSPARENT Top and Bottom bars for Titanium (QVGA)

Using the freeware Irfanview...
resize your image to 240x320 (standard wallpaper size for QVGA) and set it as your phone's wallpaper.

checkout your registry. (take note of your theme's taskbar and softkeybar name)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Taskbar

TaskBarThemeImage:
ex: black_taskbar.png

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\SoftKeyBar

SoftKeyBarThemeImage:
ex: classicblue_softkeybar.png

now CROP the top portion with Irfanview to 240x18...
EDIT > Create custom crop selection...

EDIT > Crop selection...

or do it manually (drag the cursor).

save it as black_taskbar.png (like our example above) and copy it in your phone's Windows folder (overwrite existing file).

then CROP the bottom portion of your 240x320 image to 240x34...
EDIT > Create custom crop selection...

EDIT > Crop selection...

save it as classicblue_softkeybar.png (like our example above) and copy it in your phone's Windows folder (overwrite existing file).

soft-reset your phone and enjoy the beauty of a REAL FULL screen wallpaper!

why dont u cook a theme man for qvga wwith this trick with ur samle image u shown above..??

Of course it works on other resolutions, you just have to use different sizes for the images

.

But I don't think it is possible for WM6.1, as it doesn't use custom images for its taskbar, it's only possible to change the color of its taskbar.

yes it will work with other resolutions BUT not on WM6.1... just find out the size of your phone's taskbar and softkeybar.

i was referring to this icon...

i think that's what flyboyovyick2k9 was asking.

the icons are in Titanium screen - i've added ImageFixed in CHome registry and Image ID="ImageFixed" in cpr file and i also removed the name (Text="").

I used to do this with some of my eariler builds.

While it works great, it only works with a single wallpaper. So it isn't good to cook in or else users can't customize the theme with their own backgrounds.

Themers could incoporate this into their themes through if they include a wallpaper.

Butmy Phone is XDA EXEC ... hat mean 2 desktop LANDSCAPE and PORTRAI.

Did u try to use an IMAGE .PNG Transparent ( can creat by Photoshop !) ? ... i think it will help !

like what i've said a dozen times before, a transparent taskbar png and softkeybar png will NOT make it FULLY transparent... it will make it translucent... even if you set your Threshold Alpha transparency to 255.

for LANDSCAPE (qvga)... basically it's the same.

take a 320x240 image and crop the upper portion to 320x18 and lower portion to 320x34.

sorry but it's not a theme (i don't know how to make a theme file

)... i just edited the bronzeres.dll, shellresapps.dll.0409.mui, LS_LockScene_240x320.cpr, Titanium_240x320.cpr, CHome registry and some other dlls... and made some hieroglyphic icons and took some from iconspedia.com.
