[ROM] Helly_Bean [4.3] [nightly builds] - Captivate

Install instructions:

coming from any other rom:
- make sure to have gingerbread bootloaders
- flash allinone.zip
- reboot recovery
- flash allinone.zip again
- flash gapps

if you are coming from a previous version, older than 08/28 your data will get wiped due to new partition layout!
coming from previous version:
- flash allinone.zip

Additional changes, compared to cm10 (this list might not be complete):

- facebook sync integrated
- option to enable high end gfx effects
- possibility to activate and customize navigation bar (color of background, glow effect, transparency)
- possibility to customize statusbar (color of background, transparency)
- transparent lockscreen (taken from paranoid android, coded by jesus david)
- edge swipe navigation (ported from sgt7)
- ability to enable tablet_ui (ported from aokp)
- kill-all button at recents panel (ported from aokp)
- task manger button at recents panel linked to the built-in running apps service
- customizable long-press-back-kill timeout (from 500ms to 3000ms)
- added option to toggle lockscreen styles (jb, ics, gb, eclair, blackberry10)
- option to use sense4 recents panel
- misc settings in settings menu
- added kill-all and taskmanager button to sense4 recents panel
- added the possibility to set lockscreen text/image colors
- added possibility to change the colors of the statusbar toggles
- added option to enable/disable coloring of toggles
- added option to display a small bar below the toggles as indicator for toggle state
- added possibility to display additional volume slider (similar to brighness slider from aokp)

I hope all in one zip is for all flavors of Galaxy S (including Captivate, S and others). Please confirm.

Gingerbread bootloader

Hi, I was wondering how I can tell if I have the Gingerbread bootloaders or not. I started with stock, then installed cwm by installing the corn kernel, followed by installing the paranoid android jellybean rom. If I don't currently have the gingerbread bootloader, can someone help me with instructions on how to get it back? Thanks in advance for your help!

If the stock rom was gingerbread, then you are fine. If it was froyo or older

you should install them. Best way would be flashing stock gingerbread rom

It was beginning to bother me too. But now all is well.

And I'm downloading now. I just read the changelog and see you were able to add the blackberry lock screen but its only working with stock DPI? What problems occur with custom dpis?

Just tried to install a couple of times, following the instructions and sometimes also clearing delvik and fixing permissions.
Each time upon initial setup process, I keep getting errors ("unfortunately, gallery has stopped" or "google.media has stopped").
Even if I manage to finish the setup, the errors keep popping up and the Play store just closes (as is the Gallery).
Any ideas?

Go in Apps, Delete the data of Gallery and reboot.
Was it a clean install ?

As long as it doesn't freak out and break things on the custom DPI's I'm not worried about it. :good:

Thanks, I managed to get it working now.
So far, everything appears to be just fine.

1 question: I guess if I want gallery to show my pics from my google+ or Picassa web, I have to flash another Gapps?
If it's the right way, which version (and if possible, where can I find it?)

First of all, this ROM is awesome. Secondly, can anyone explain to me what fudge swap is, or at least point me in the right direction? That might be the only kernel setting that I don't know how to use

I understand why you removed PDroid. I was having some intermittent issues too. But I like the idea behind PDroid so I hope that it can be added back in the future if the problems can be resolved.

Great Release, the blackberry lockscreen is cool, dont know if i will keep it because i like the slider shortcuts on the jellybean lockscreen.

One thing, the camera is missing alot of it settings, there are only 2 there i saw "Store location" and picture quality.

Also when selecting Panorama shot it says Gallery has force closed.
